Course Correction

Light the nation a new fire;
Awake the apathetic’s desire;
Like sheep to Shepherd’s crook;
We need a new course, old Book.

Our founders risked it all;
Starting with Lexington’s one ball;
The leaders penned a declaration;
Planting the seeds of a Revolutionary nation;

One Creator, created all equal, followed by this sequel;
No statutes of man, can morally end, impose, or ban, on the innocent in the land,
One’s life, freedom, or choice, to follow their God’s voice.
It’s an individual’s right not to be fettered by those in the might.

Hypocrisy held a hundred-year reign.
Creating a devastation and a pain;
And yet just as brave souls arose;
Against a Royal Monarchs pleasures;
Thousand’s gave their last full measure;
To end our national blight;
That said the rules only applied if white;

A big lie had taken hold;
This the story that lie told;
The color of a man’s skin,
Made a difference on what lied within.
Men with darker tones,
Were lesser men and could be owned.

Oh, this awful, awful lie;
Took hold both far and wide;
The horrid ramifications of the deception,
Have been a burden since the nations inception.
The big lie, the Devils own invention;
Is still our governmental convention.

You hear it daily in the conversation;
As our leaders divide up our nation;
Keeping constant score in the fight;
To divide everything equal between black and white;

Perhaps I can illustrate my meaning;
Of the big lies burdensome dealings;
What if instead of skin it was eyes that divided men?
Blue and brown, to keep it simple then;
We could still have majorities and minorities;
Argue who belongs with whom, based on irregularities.
There could be a Congressional Blue Caucus,
A NAABP, the whole situation could be raucous.
Eyes differentiate us as well as skin.
If only we could go back in time and do things again;
But, skin color much easier to identify.
Than having to look into another man’s eyes.

I know that many think this notion absurd;
That it’s the silliest argument they’ve ever heard.
Different races based on color of faces;
Has always been the basis of dividing people into places.
So much simpler to conceptualize,
Than dividing up based on color of eyes.

Again, I say it’s a Devilish lie!
His plan is always divide, divide, divide.
“One Nation Under God” cannot be achieved;
As long as we continue to be deceived;
And count ourselves as different by black and white.
Trapped by thinking two wrongs can make it right.

Histories can’t be changed, only futures can be rearranged.
But outcomes always remain the same, unless peoples thinking change;
The divine right and bended knee enslaved people for centuries.
Consent of the governed, a first in history;
Changed the nature of power forever.
Yet always those who can’t except the treasure,
Of free men beholden to none but one another.

So, despite the warnings from the founders,
Government grows and liberty flounders.
Sheep will always need a shepherd,
Spots cannot be changed by the leopard.
Wake up and choose the Good Shepherd to lead!
Stop the carnivores who devour your right to be free!

Essential Questions

The essential question we have at hand

Was it God who created man
Or was God an invention of a Jewish clan

Is the Bible the word of the Divine
Or a narrative spawned from human minds

Did Jesus arise from the grave
Or was his body simply stolen away

The answer to these questions holds eternal weight
And both sides require an element of faith

My intellect finds more evidence for a risen Jesus
Than for my ancestors evolving from a rhesus

Oakland County 91,078 more Democrat votes, 61,582 in Montgomery
This despite the fact that Trump breaks the record for Republican votes
By 9,719 in Montgomery and 9,338 in Oakland
Population increase can’t possibly account for the number of Democrat votes
A 7,447 increase in Oakland County and 15,115 increase in Montgomery County
You may note that in 2008 Democrats also made some very hefty gains
This is not hard to explain
This is the year Barak Obama wins the Presidency
Clearly, he was a candidate who would inspire many folks who
Never before voted to come out and vote
If I might borrow a line from Mr. Biden
He was a “Clean and articulate” minority candidate
Also note Republican votes decrease in most counties
Indicating voters changed their preferences
So, Barak Obama is a transformative candidate
He changed the political landscape
How can anyone claim that Democratic voters would be inspired
In an environment where BLM, Me Too, LGBTQ, Defund Police, etc..
Which were dominating the party’s agenda
To come out in record number for a 77-year-old white male
Who spent his career in government creating the institutions that they hated
Vice President Harris called him out in debates for his record on race
Now a man who can hardly string three sentences together
Not to mention back when he could, he stole them from others
We are to believe legitimately inspired the absolutely astonishing
Democratic voter turnout of the election in 2020

I thought this was all Fred had to say
And I was about to turn and walk away
When in a voice sounding troubled and worn
With a face that looked tired and forlorn

Fred ended our visit in this way

I pray our Democratic friends won’t continue to bury their heads in the sand
Simply because they hated the Republican man
The facts seem overwhelming and compelling
That our political landscape is smelling
The whole Russia collusion, nothing more than a Democrat delusion
Backed up by main-stream media allusion
The impeachment trials both total shams
The transcript being read, should have halted any honest man
Obstruction of justice when the only crimes committed
Were officials who used knowingly false information they submitted
To gain warrants to spy on Trumps campaign and administration
I have presented the numbers now if there be dissenters
An honest man, from an honest clan, would be a presenter
Who gives a plausible, reasoned explanation, of the number of votes for Biden
Not just scream it’s a big lie, there is no evidence, and continue deriding
All the folks who simply are requesting answers
To election results that to us look like a cancer

The Dread of Farmer Fred

I went to visit Farmer Fred
Found him out in his wood shed
He was splitting up some oak
As I approached, he paused and spoke

“When I was young, I served my country and was willing to give my life for what I believed this country stood for.”
“Today I’d give my life to protect my family from what this country has become.”

I looked at Fred a bit askance
And he could see at a glance
That he should explain his new stance

‘We will bury you’ is coming to fruition.”
“Our country is becoming the very thing I fought against.”
“Pravda had nothing on the propagandist news in our nation.”
“Give it any name or label you will, government control over people has failed “the people” throughout human history.”
“I do not hold that government is evil, rather power which is corrupting and evil.”
“It has always been about power over others.”
“Kings, Emperors, Chancellors, Prime Ministers, and Presidents all abuse it.”
“Using government power to control others by controlling their means of earning and amassing wealth.”
“Feudalism, Socialism, Communism, Fascism, all place government at the top and make all people beholden to government.”
“Free market capitalism was the only exception.”
“Some played it better than others and acquired more wealth and wealth is power.”
“Thus, the role of government should be to check that power by ensuring the playing field and rules were applied equally.”
“All men are created equal, not all outcomes should be equal.”

I hold my hand up
Fred paused quite abrupt
With a pained look like please don’t interrupt

“I will simply say, we are no longer ‘The land of the free and home of the brave’ rather the land of the aggrieved and home of the knave.”

This was all he had to say
Fred dropped his ax and walked away

It Is Not Happening By Chance

Rip down the statues
Rename the streets
Police the language
Label it hate speech

Burn down the cities
In peaceful protest
Justice is racist
Thus, civil unrest

No longer about
Seats on the bus
A bus itself
Is labeled unjust

Envy a sin
Yet the very basis
Of a pernicious movement
Mislabeled social justice

True justice is blind
Social justice sees
Skin tone blamed
For all disparity

Media propogandist
Mix up the facts
Left is right
Right is wrong

Gaslighting Americans
With their fake news
Giving demonic takes
Editing out truth

Hate your enemy
Get up in their face
Resist reality
Let ideology replace

Tragedy in the schools
Fools blame it on tools
Deceived bunch of souls
Who forget man reaps what he sows

How it all ends
Is known in advance
Simply have faith
Knowing it doesn’t happen by chance

Now It's Up To You and I

We have the left; we have the right.
In the political arena they both fight.

Always claiming to be on our side,
With ferocious rhetoric, opponents they deride.

Vote for us, to be saved from a vicious clan’s
Reckless and dangerous life ending plan.

So now it’s up to you and I
To decide, who is right and who tells lies.

Now I don’t know what works for you.
I judge not what they say; rather what they do.

For talk is cheap and taxes ain’t.
I’m in support of fiscal restraint.

Now this is a fact for all posterity;
A nation can’t spend itself into prosperity.

Both sides know that this is true.
But look at what the charlatans do.

They simply make a language adjustment;
Government spending renamed as investment.

So now it’s up to you and I
To decide, who is right and who tells lies.

The finger of accusation is pointed;
As our nation becomes disjointed.

Now both sides in self-righteousness claim;
The other side is the one to blame.

I’m not sure how you deduce,
But I look at the fruit they produce.

Who supports phony investigations;
The sole evidence of their own making.

Who supports keeping people in places;
Dividing them up into different races.

Who believes they can legislate prosperity;
Ignoring all of human history.

Who believes it a proper choice;
To slay the unborn who have no voice.

So now it’s up to you and I
To decide, who is right and who tells lies.

Media acts in a partisan manner,
Thus, I ignore their constant clamor.

People throwing bombs and firing weapons;
The very definition of insurrection.

When people gather to show disgust.
That is what is defined as a protest.

There are few neutral voices.
Everyone is always spinning choices.

So now it’s up to you and I
To decide, who is right and who tells lies.

A Smile and Hello

Home is in the village then?
A stranger queried of when:
We met on a roadside bend.
Two men walking, who did tend,
To chance on becoming friends.

Visiting from the South you say?
Headed over yonder way?
Let me tell you of this place.
Over there lives Lady Grace.
We move on at quickened pace.

Hikers on a country road,
Seeking neither food nor gold.
This journeys wealth did unfold,
In the tales that we’ve since told.
Old friends who met on a road:

A Day In Life

Sing a song, laugh at a joke;
Pray a prayer, drink a toast;
Sip a cupp’a tea, walk a country mile;
Sit and ponder life for a while.

A morning Joe before you go;
Hit the bricks to earn some dough;
Smile a lot to make them wonder,
The secret of your happiness.

Kiss your wife, hug your child;
Say I love you, say I’m sorry;
See a ballgame, root like wild;
Catch a fish and never worry.

Vote your conscience, donate your time;
Phone a friend, spend a dime;
Pay your bills, down a Pil’s;
Mix it all together, your life will rhyme;

Maple Tree

What do people see,
When looking at a maple tree?
Could be soft green leaves in June;
Maybe it’s shade on a July afternoon.
Perchance a golden kitchen table;
Or a hardwood floor, strong and stable.
Perhaps it’s sap for maple syrup.
Some might see a tree to climb up.
Images of dazzling red Autumn leaves;
Fuel for a fire on a frigid eve.
All of these, I do believe;
Are gifts of a maple tree.

Farmer Fred Talks Politics Vol I

Farmer Fred was out in his field making inspection
When I snuck up on him without detection
I stated my greetings with great voice inflection
Which caused Fred to jump in the opposite direction
Then he smiled and made genuflection
Saying, you caught me in introspection
As I was contemplating the last election

I inquired what exactly was on his mind
Reaching into his pocket he gave me a scroll to unwind
I looked at it and the following did find

Not being sure what to make of it
I queried Fred about his take on it

This what Fred said

The thing I dread is we are being led
By people willing to lie and cheat
When Trump was elected, the opposition
Claimed he was colluding with Mr. Putin
But it was all a Democrat Lie
Democrats paid for the report
That they then used as a source
To surveil and attempt derail
Any success of the Trump administration
The main-stream media dogs
All barked along, howling out the tune
They also ran an impeachment sham
Saying they had a whistleblowing man
The man never testified
The Democrats continually lied
Claiming some sort of quid pro quo
Trump released the transcript of the call
We all heard the words and no problems at all
The only quid pro quo was when VP Joe
Was recorded saying no money unless the prosecutor goes
Brennan and Clapper talked on TV that they had seen the evidence
Under oath they sang a different tune and whence
The media shouts there is no evidence of election fraud
I find it so very, very odd
When you look at numbers that defy explanation
It would be my expectation
There should be some investigation
