Forbidden

I drive myself crazy
I’m a wreck, I confess
My head is just spinning, it kills me
The idea of you thrills me,
Leaves me a mess
Oh how I let it….

Fear that I’ll lose you
When I never had you
Makes me wish I didn’t know you
So that I wouldn’t have to let go of you
Crushed with distress,
Oh how I hate it…

What if we gave in,
I let you get to me,
No control would I have when I let you around me,
This weakness astounds me,
Just want to forget it,
Accept that it happened,
Regret it.

Sleep

In an empty room,
Silence is company.
Thinking of someone, anyone,
Sings you to sleep.
Reminders of past loves, lost loves,
Broken hearts.
Stillness in breath, the air,
Is calming.
Moments of quiet grace, the stars,
Watch over you.
And everything is perfect.
Just for tonight.
