Destitutes

DESTITUTES
Decision making is an intrinsic part of our being
Not that we are wise but mean
Desperate for survival, we struggle daily
We are young yet we do what adults do daily
Sobbing, crying, kneeling, begging for food
This daily routine became our mood.

Never born with a silver spoon
Not to talk of using a silver spoon
Hardship is an emblem, like a trademark
we carry its logo, stamped with its hallmark
We eat what we have not what we want
For our daily bread, we must hunt.

The rich sees us as nothing
Yet we make them something
We run errands for them willingly
and do their jobs speedily
They never once cared if we exist
but they know once we desist.

We work than they do
yet they gain than we do
Always the last resort never a priority
They flaunt their success claiming superiority
We all suffer from inferiority complex
Their ailment is superiority complex.

Life is ironic indeed
We have nothing, yet we take the lead
All the things they never have, we do
We have the leg, they have the shoe
Not only do we own their private life
They depend on us for their public life

At first, they were objects of envy
When we found out that the government will levy
based on their outputs and income
The envy decreased since we know the sum
But unfortunately, they own us
They ride us just like an horse.

We are their ladders to success
Yet when we talk, we make no sense
We have goals and dreams to rule our world
The only person we have is Jesus our Lord
One day our voices will be heard
and our words must be said.

If only we can be helped
Then the world will know we were led
Not by spiritual forces but by our thirst
for affluence, and being heard was a quest
to show the rich how we can thrive
Cos we all live to die and we die to live.

Sucide

SUCIDE

I wish people could understand
Only if they knew the outcome of those actions
I've always wanted to be recognized
In reality, I hurt badly
No one understands me
It ends the moment they are there
The moment everyone leaves
I'm left with my thoughts again
I see things that others don't see
I remember everything that happens in a day
Back in my closet, I feel disappointed
Not to myself but that we ain't equal
That we can't force people to act right
That egoism is the order of nature
That I can't change what can't be changed

Fake friends, real enemies
All in one, none in all

Is it the betrayal and the heartbreak
Or the painful actions and hurtful words
Maybe the disappointment and the failure
Or regrets and complications
Or lonely nights and sad experiences
Sometimes the horrible past
Rarely the scary future
Mostly the unfavourable present
I believed against hope
Living each day like it's a miracle
Expecting a change in a world of competing interests
Best lessons are learnt the hard way
I feel lonely yet I'm not alone
I feel emptiness yet i'm being filled daily
The outcome of my great discovery is an end in itself
Might not be the best option but part of the options
I embarked on this uneasy journey
Though cruel but I'll achieve what I desire
No one should say hurtful words behind me
Where were you when I was crying out for help?
You all turned deaf ears
I was neglected when I needed the care
I'm not leaving because of any circumstance
But because I know there is an endless end
I've come to realise that
suicide is not even part of the options
Cos no one deserves that happiness than I do
Never think anyone is better
The best can only be you
The only way to punish suicide is to live
Since there can always be a positive part to a negative side.

Good Samaritan

GOOD SAMARITAN

I'm a certain man, innocently I journeyed
Stripped and wounded; did no wrong
They had chances to help out yet they neglected
Everyone you meet daily is a neighbour
Not because they reside next to you
but because they are next to you
and you owe them a duty of care each
Hypocrites! They claim to be religious
Spiritually, they seem upright
They stand professing what they hypocritically uphold
The innocent congregation in awe sublime
Here comes my saviour
No connection yet there was affection
Change of plans, change of direction
He had compassion, treated me with care
I was a stranger but became his friend
He may not know the gravity of what he did to me
But I cherish it cos he taught me
how to help even without expecting any in return
I was his neighbour, he is my good Samaritan

Hypocrite

HYPOCRITE

You act as if you don't speak
forgetting all you've said, coward!
since you fear living up to your own expectations
Shame is at its peak

You condemn others yet your acts are not commendable
Poke nosing is an habitual habit
You claim never to do what others do
but we see you at the forefront secretly
disposing of cruelty; welcoming wickedness
Your voice speaks louder than your actions
In a minute, you stand for the truth
In another, you act against truth.
To those that do not know you
Let them die in your pretence
Let them be blinded of what is seen
You forget so fast yet you remember
every bad deed done by another
If words could speak
a lot would have been said
Not in message but in person.
Hypocrites die daily before they die
Every day is an opportunity to lie
Till you change, your living does not count.

My Future Wife

MY FUTURE WIFE

The veil was removed, her face was seen
Her long dark hair well combed, glitters.
Just like an orange on its tree, her head stands firm, perfectly placed on her neck
The radiant look her eyes gives is superficially attractive and I couldn't stop gazing.
The creator's design of her eyebrow is one of a kind
Structural placement of her nose stands perfect in between her eyes downwards.

Some lips make you kiss but hers is a kiss to behold for eternity, with lines, well curved and narrowly centered.
Its colour reminds me of the Canadian flag.

Her cuteness is more like a real life Fairy tale.
Her complexion was intentionally mixed by the creator in a palette bringing out what can be called the brownish black beam.
The radiant smile her face gives every time, is ostensively a protocol.
Her stature stands perfect that all clothes fit her bringing out the curvy edges deposited in her body.

Her behavior is like an angel on earth
One whose beauty didn't reduce her good conducts
She reminds me of my mum's words: A good act; a good wife
Her kind gesture speaks volume
The perfection of beauty is in her demeanor.

How can I ever forget what her skin feels like when I touch?
Just like a carefully whisked egg
If I don't marry her, I'd rather remain single.
I see my future in her future.
I anticipate how she will respond to my call whenever I call her by her name.

Alas! There was no lady
All were my imaginations and expectations.
Oh! The glue of fantasy has glued to my reality.
What a shame!
I won't let this go
The creator must design my imaginations and make it my 'expectation one'
The same way I have imagined, so should the real life lady be.

My dream world bride; my future wife
My fantasy; my reality.

It's Me, the Lost One

IT'S ME, THE LOST ONE

Always wonder, i'm never bothered
Lost in thoughts but found in love
Bittered and shattered yet not broken
Pierced and perforated yet whole
Am I still myself or another? I ask
Am I whole or sole? I wonder

      It's me, the lost one
      It's me, the confused

I break when I think, yet I reason
I need myself to help me
An urgent plea for rescue
from lost moments and dead state.
I've been held captive by my thoughts
and rescued by my inactions

      It's me, the lost one
      It's me, the confused

I got lost when I found myself
Maybe I shouldn't try
Since every attempt failed
and all efforts wasted.

Why Don'T We Want What Wants Us

WHY DON'T WE WANT WHAT WANTS US?

The world is full of selfish people
Since we only need what we want
Forgetting what wants us
Different people, different personalities
Not only should we care about our feelings
Why not consider those who care
Who would do anything just to see us smile

Egoism has become a conscious action
No one will ever be perfect
Can we really get all we want?
Unfortunately, what we want never wants us
While we don't want what wants us

If there is time for change
Let's change place and switch lives
If change is the only constant thing
Why not change what wants you
to what you want?

A state of dilemma; arduous toil
Which to pick in the conflicting positions
What we want or what wants us?
If altruism still exists
Why not go for what wants you?
Since egoism is the order of the day
Why not go for what you want?

Birdlime

BIRDLIME

There I was in the ocean of love
Amidst mysteries, going deep in its cave
No length
No strength
Finally met the historical love dove

Marriage

MARRIAGE

Conjugal happiness, blissful memories
A woman's dream, a man's fear
The assumed long-term institution
To some, it's a must
For many, it's an option
If only the almost newly wedded could peep
and see the end from the beginning
They won't embark on the journey.

The most sarcastic school on earth
Partners become new every morning
Everyone seems to be a sham
The once heaven-sent man and our virtuous lady
Suddenly becomes an imp
It was at first a bed of roses
but euphoria soon gave way to despair.

A pleasant pain and memorable loss
Since two different characters merge to become one
The most visited school
Some go for visits, some to lodge
Most to enjoy but later to endure
Others to taste something different
A world on its own

A strong desire filled with qualms
Certain yet confusing
The most cherished big city
Awesome stories about day one
will forever be repeated.

One of the most expensive risks
A life gamble
No man's land, every woman's world
Turns a lady to a woman
Changes the guy to being a man
Once entered, motherhood is imminent

Sacrificing trials, hopeful tomorrow
Outer worry, inner damage
Imperfect perfection, beautified enclosure.
