Good Samaritan
GOOD SAMARITAN
I'm a certain man, innocently I journeyed
Stripped and wounded; did no wrong
They had chances to help out yet they neglected
Everyone you meet daily is a neighbour
Not because they reside next to you
but because they are next to you
and you owe them a duty of care each
Hypocrites! They claim to be religious
Spiritually, they seem upright
They stand professing what they hypocritically uphold
The innocent congregation in awe sublime
Here comes my saviour
No connection yet there was affection
Change of plans, change of direction
He had compassion, treated me with care
I was a stranger but became his friend
He may not know the gravity of what he did to me
But I cherish it cos he taught me
how to help even without expecting any in return
I was his neighbour, he is my good Samaritan
