A Song For the Soul

Pitter Patter rain drops all day long
landing on the gate like dew drops.
Here comes my brother in law
to lead me from the dull life
to the countryside bustling with people
Ah! where were they when I was in the city?
Long drive in the rain to forget the pain
we go for a spin to lighten the mood.
Drinks to accompany and words for symphony
We traverse the past and gallop into the future.
The more I take in the more I part with.
Back on the road, heading for home.
Kids and dog,home sweet home
where everyone meets eye to eye.
Family for me is where happiness resides.

My Crush

Oh, i like her very much
I came into her good graces
the last year or so.
My eyes swim here and there
to catch a glimpse of her.
Just a glimpse is not enough they say.
I too nod my head for their cause.
Oh my,oh, when she says thank you
her gratitude lights up my heart
like the gentle warmth of a candle.
My brother makes fun of me
smiling over her texts.
Gee me,being so coy.
Ahemm...I have some matters
to take care of,I bid you all adieu.
Hey you clouds who seem so lost
carry a message to my friend Mr.Time.
He is free from his job this second
for I would like to dwell in this second forever.

My Fellow Companion, Solitude

Solitude, a cool breeze
far from the raging winds.
The mundane journey between the start and the end
An oneway path which leads nowhere.
A cry for the young while
a sigh for the old.
I feel lost like the child
on his first day at kindergarten.
Might it be the longing for a private space
or the longing to stay
far from the maddening crowd
or is it the mask wherein lies my conscience.
I feel lost like the falling leaf
on a fine autumn day.
I search within my conscience
the tide seems far to tread,
the interest seems to fade
hold on life seems vague

The Work of Some

I happen to walk over a bridge,
running below, a river of sewage
We're still standing in the same place in this new age
where people dump their fill together without any grudge.
For the work of some
I grieve for the generations to come.
what you sow
is what you owe.
How tall your horse is,doesn't count
when you are not able to mount

Touch of Death

At the doorstep, someones beckoning me.
Am being pulled into a deep void.
Pitch dark with an eerie aura.
Plagued by darkness I stumble forward
oh where are you my friend?Time!
your absence drives me mad.
the mere thought of life seems like an elixir.
Am parched like a barren desert,
running, running, running without any direction.
Overflowing with tears amidst the barren desert.
I wail as ghouls goad me
my whole body numb,
I crouch and quiver, in
in thoughts of my evil memories. Suddenly
I feel the sun glaring on my face;
to wake up in the hands of my neighbor.
I hug him like its the end of the world.
Joy i never knew gushed out
in leaps and bounds.
Ah! silly me, electrocuted by the doorbell
yet happy to cheat death
for even a single day on earth

Pity

Pity, something you can give a lot,
but can never be proud of.
pty aint worth a penny.
thunder evokes lightning
lightning evokes rain.
pity evokes nothing
but hatred and pain.
pity the pauper,
pity the kings.
Pity the world
For what she brings.
None shall escape
past her porcelain nape
Deep in her bossom warm,
they fall to her to her wicked charm.
Oh she wanders
wide chasms and yonders.
Far away on a hammock,
she hears the peal of thunder and lightning
frolicking in laughter and merry
there she met her adversary
in the form of an innocent child.

A Simpleton's Love

If I were a plane
I would have flown her to the heavens.
if I were a ship
I would have sailed her past the sea of rebirth.
If i were a tall grass
I wud have knelt in awe of her beauty.
Even if i were a simpleton
I wud have followed her till my knees failed me.

They Say I Am Visually Challenged

I feel the heat
but not the light
what shall I do?
Oh what shall I do?
my heart sweats too.
Hold my hand,
hold my brush
and lead me on
away from this blank canvas.
Where is the palette?
Where is the color?
Let me draw a master piece
that befits this world.

Pillars of Life

An arm that
holds and heaves
during the struggles of life is
worth more than thousand words

A leg that indulges
in the leisure walks of life
bears the brunts of life
holding u aloft
