A Song For the Soul
Pitter Patter rain drops all day long
landing on the gate like dew drops.
Here comes my brother in law
to lead me from the dull life
to the countryside bustling with people
Ah! where were they when I was in the city?
Long drive in the rain to forget the pain
we go for a spin to lighten the mood.
Drinks to accompany and words for symphony
We traverse the past and gallop into the future.
The more I take in the more I part with.
Back on the road, heading for home.
Kids and dog,home sweet home
where everyone meets eye to eye.
Family for me is where happiness resides.
