A World of Fools

To make or be made a fool,
Is Totally not cool,
Honestly, it’s a pile of stool.

There should be an unwritten rule,
Or even a whole school,
About being made or making a fool.

Or Is, to be made a fool,
A life lesson to not drool.

But Doesn’t, to make someone a fool,
Make them feel like a mule??

Or is it that ourselves we just fool,
Continuously saying, “We can’t change. The world is just cruel!”

Maybe we just need to remember we are all threads from the same spool,
Of information, Swimming in the same pool,
And Unless we stop, we will eventually be each other’s fool.

Forgiving Heart

I went to pay my heart a visit and boy was it in bad shape,
A patch here, some stitches there and lots of duct tape.

It tried to show resilience to the damages,
But being an empath has its disadvantages,
So there was still fresh blood, seeping through the bandages.

Instantly, I felt a deep painful compassion,
How could I have been responsible for such non-compassionate action?

For forgiveness I asked, as I fell to my knees,
And as I wrapped my arms around it, I softly said, “Please!”

It hugged me back tighter and into a full fledged scream I nearly burst,
And more so, when it softly said, “Before I have forgiven others, I have always forgiven you first.”

The Er

There was once a day of heavy gloom,
One that came close to doom,
And that was the day I rushed my heart, to an emergency room.

It had wounds that had dug deep,
Through the bandages, lots of blood would continuously seep,
And I began to doubt, if my life, I would get to keep.

The damages, they quickly assessed,
I could tell it wasn’t pretty, as they looked really distressed,
More convincing to me, that with another day, I wouldn’t be blessed.

They repeatedly asked me to point to the pain chart,
Every time I did, in disbelief they looked at me and back at my heart,
How to explain it, they didn’t know where to start.

I kept pointing at the zero, which to them made no sense,
Judging from the wounds, the pain should have been immense,
But judging from the scarring, they hadn’t realized my past had been more intense.

Perception

I once found myself sitting on a Moon,
Funny thing is, it was barely around noon,
It was so surreal, it became a moment I did not want to end soon.

Even though the Sun was shining fiercely bright,
I was being illuminated by a different source of light.

The glow was extravagantly different,
But it was a site nothing less than magnificent.

At first my eyes didn’t want to believe,
But then I remembered, it’s all about how your life, you perceive,
So it became very real, as my heart reminded me, of what the mind can achieve.

Joyride

I once floated towards the rising Sun,
Oh man, it was so much fun,
How did I ever think it couldn’t be done?

Even though for moments like that I always yearned,
I grew a little concerned,
As I didn’t want to get ‘sunburned’.

But it was such a smooth, joyful ride,
I mean, I was going upwards on an infinite, invisible slide,
So I just let go and let my heart be my guide.

As I felt its rays attach onto my skin,
I couldn’t help but devilishly grin,
Wider it grew, as they went deeper within,
As yet another battle over the darkness, the light would take a win.

The Dark Beast

The Dark Beast

There is a dark beast that wants to bust out of its cage,
It’s full of rage,
And for war against the light, it’s ready to engage.

It’s eyes are fiery burning red,
There is a fierce battle to keep it inside my head,
Because that it gets out, is something I really dread.

It’s furious scream rattles my brain,
It’s dark force I am finding hard to contain,
My composure difficult to maintain,
As access to my heart, it’s trying desperately to gain.

For mishap, it hungry and ready to feed,
It wants to see me bleed,
But it will not succeed,
Because to never give it that pleasure, with my higherself I agreed.

Because I am stronger and with my light, it, I will blind,
The unconditional love within, I will find,
So I keep that dark thing away from heart and caged somewhere deep deep in my mind.

No Spare Parts

Of your heart you must take good care,
As there really aren’t many parts to spare.

Of all your organs, it is the most sacred,
So you must protect it from all forms of hatred.

It may be super strong but it is also delicate and can be broken,
With even simple words against its host, harshly spoken.

It may continue beating but not at 100 percent,
Depending of the damages and their extent.

Thing is, there are those who the feelings of others, they don’t consider,
Not realizing that hurting them, actually makes everyone bitter.

Missing Him

I missed some one a lot today,
How he always loved to just play,
And just a bit longer, always wanted to stay.

He would always have some sort of joke,
Never saw himself ‘broke’,
And always charming when he spoke.

I missed how, just BEcause, a broad smile, he would always wear,
Confidently displayed it, without a care,
And with everyone, it, always wanting to share.

The most out of Life, he was determined to get,
For anyone to break his spirit, he would never let,
About much, he really wouldn’t fret,
Nor would he ever really seem upset.

I missed how he was always full of joy and carefree,
How he was grounded by climbing a tree,
I miss ‘him’, now more specifically,
Because HE, is a version that exists within ME!
