Those we love don't go away.
They walk beside us every day.
Their footfalls forge the path we tread,
Driving us onward, not back instead.
Our evolving selves, deep in our core,
Shape the masks for those we adore,
To nurture our loving relationships,
Using meticulously written scripts,
Penned for each person, in a candle flame,
In forms distinct, yet never the same.
The roles we play, the stance we take,
Shape the versions of us they make.
Their words become our guiding tune,
The moment we step in their room.
Each role we play, in joy or strife,
Hums the echoes we learned in life.
Sculpting our souls in pliant clays.
The one true self within, never strays.
Never clings, never yens, asks for more,
From love that lives on, for evermore.

Once, it came like sailor's morn.
The Blue Screen of Death, to warn,
that your computer has died - " . ( "
Enter “CTRL+ALT+DEL” now it cried!
Now the powers to be, have decided,
To make it BLACK; It's so misguided!
I want my baby blue, cobalt back!
I'm so over, mourning death in black!
Bring it Back, Bring it Back!
I want my Baby Blue Back!
Blue is the serenity of twilight!
It yens for smite and flight!
It is the hue of 'Starry Night"
What better way to say: "Good Night"

Come now, Spring! You’re such a fickle young thing!
On the wings of newborn feathers, your wiles
up and downturn winds to sudden cold flings
tripping warming skins to tremble a while…
Next come your silken color-filled fancies!
Eyes beckoned, step out to be near such charms…
Yens still, as you march as perfumed dandy,
masking musky breath, that breezes sneezed harm…
And when April comes along, your eye gleams!
Enchantment grows, then fades to slushy mush….
Becoming crystals, shatter in your steam
Oh how she weeps, for diamonds rained to slush!
Rivers gush your youth’s enthusiasm ~
Now, may you calm, ere you deepen chasms ~

When friends recount their travels
They sound wonderful, although
Most often they describe a place
I might not want to go…
Or even if the destination’s
Someplace to entice,
Their version of the trip is not
My type of paradise.
For everyone’s vacation
Is unique, like DNA.
We all have certain things we like
To do when we’re away.
We’re lucky if, vacation-wise,
Our plans can be in sync
With spouse or friends or relatives
Who share the way we think.
While I enjoy renditions
Of the trips my friends describe,
My own will be quite different
From the ones they would prescribe.
When planning trips, I let my yens
And fancies be my guide
Since my on-my-wavelength husband
Will be right there by my side.

if we could wash away our sins
the deeds, the words, the thoughts, the yens
if we could find could find a way to cleanse,
then we might live again, as friends
if we could hold our hearts, once near
with deeds and words and thoughts so dear
if we could bathe in forgiveness pure
then we might wash away these tear

Ardency is the drive of life,
Beings journey in it vehicle.
For the rumination of thoughts,
The hunger race is infinite.
Ideas conceived are perceived,
Concepts are boundless,
Notions are yet born,
That man's itch is immeasurable.
Insatiablilty pervades the air,
Taste rises,
Hunger inflicts - and,
Cravings to be served is intense.
Man shouldn't be by bread alone.
Today thinks not,
For all seek to yield - to,
Their endless tort yens.

"Noli Me Tangere"--Ode to Anne Boleyn
Beguiling and strong willed,
Thick hair and black eyes--
Average beauty at best--
Maneuvered Court, so skilled
(Though taunted by their lies)
The King you put to test.
Oh, dear Anne Boleyn!
You chose not your fate.
'Twas your father's sins:
Greed would not abate
His ambitious yens.
So, Queen you were--
Amid the hate--
The peoples' cur;
King's sonless mate
Bearing one
Queen to be
Of England's
Future
'Golden
Age'.

Say it as it is, say it loud
Peace man yens for but cannot see it
Although it is the very air around him
He searches for storms and thunders
That which cause fright at sight
Say it as it is ,
Man lingers in the dark to find the truth
How bright is what he seeks in this world
Whiles all that is true lies within him
Say it as it is,
The poor labors to attain wealth
Thus eroding the very fabric of natures riches
Whiles the rich seeks the meekness of life which he erodes
Say it as it is,
Life is not fair and rewards not along man dreams
So dream big as big as you can
For certainty is never a used vocabulary in life
Just believe
Say it as it is, say it loud
