Shards of Whiteness

I stand where silence is thicker than bread.
He,
not a man anymore,
but a bruise walking upright,
a shadow that still pays rent to the body.

Loneliness is not beside him.
It is the room itself,
the ceiling sweating plaster,
the window coughing dust.
It pushes through his skin
like cold water in a cracked bucket.

His heart still taps,
like a drunk knocking on the

I wish to break through, to heal my soul with the whiteness of words

I wish to break through, to heal my soul with the whiteness of words,
But they hide in my shadow like shy animals.
My story is a forest where the echo of footsteps has been lost,
And my pain is the thin river that springs from the underground.
I could tell you how each moment has engraved storm carvings

The Whiteness

A few dead sparrows in the snow this morning.

“They are always with us.”

The voice sounds biblical.
Word-shadows move behind my eyes.

A frozen sky sits across
naked trees.
I cannot see the snow,
only the whiteness.

If I had fox ears, they would be pricked,
flicking this way and that.

Nothing dragged off,
nothing gnawed and left.

“Nothing is lost.”

I am able to count the

We Adorn our Shame,

Fades Not in the Rain!

Then Laden with Blame,
Seek Strength that comes from Above...

Whiteness

The room was six feet by eight feet
Full of nothingness and white light
I came in here to work
I find when I can't be distracted
(As I often, well, always am reading or writing)
So the blinding whiteness has purpose

Soon an ex-lover walks in to work
We don't talk
Not because we are not friendly,
but because there is work to

On the Whiteness of the Sand

On the whiteness of the sand 
in the noises of the sea-foam, 
There are dreams, fall down without buried

Ah, O shores,
that germinate death like mushrooms, 
why you germinate (in my mouth) 
a bitter taste?  
  
Ah If you were fell like a rain 
On my heart who never calms down!

Chains tightly bound
Around my Spirit.
Hopelessness echoed
Sounding doom in my ears.
Fight, faith broken.
The Sea of Anguish
Had engulfed,
canopied& enveloped.
Then I looked to the Sky.

My gleam of Hope
Who nightly strokes
The sorrowful world.
Her soothing light
Ceaselessly shifting form.

illuminating a path
For the Lost.

Unlike her blinding cousin, The Sun,
who scorches& scalds.
The Moon tenderly kisses
The face of the Earth.
Unlike the orange-red glare,
signaling

The holiday bells are ringing
Peaceful Smiles and Joyful Bringing
All is right this Holiday season
For tis will be the year of giving
Whiteness falls making the mood
Makes all in the spirit of giving
Love and rejoice
For all we see is Whiteness
