Wasnt Poems - Poems about Wasnt

Premium MemberIf it wasnt for poetry

rising from deep down under
we feel bliss in our bones
gushing in our veins
divine magnetism
renewing rapture
of joy ineffable
so we exult
song of our heart
effervescence of soul
in a rhythm reverberating
mellifluous music of the spheres
throbbing thus at our very core
entwining us with existence
dissolving space and time
cajoling us to articulate
how ripples in the void
manifests

Premium MemberIf It Wasnt For Poetry

From the very depths of my inner being I cherish poetry,
without the written verse I’d be impoverished as a person,
literary projects spur me on to otherworldy epic peaks,
an open channel with furtherance from lexicons endowed,
golden opportunity for human pathos rich and fair,
stomach-wrenching pain, joyous peals of laughter, mental stimulus,
visions I adhere to

Poetry can be a critical liaison when words are fashioned,
that do not please the beholder's eyes.

I'm a poet without a pen, weaving woes on a digital canvas.
Forgive my rhyme-less heart, I've sinned in murky metaphors,
lost in my own sea of thoughts, with 3am rants and riddles,
composed in sleepless synonyms from this insomniac mind.

But

If it wasnt for Poetry

If it wasn't for Poetry
Where would I be?

I would still be here, but,
Not who I am today!

Poetry made a way for me to connect,
with the one inside that has so much to give.

Poetry is my voice when I need to scream or laugh.
When fury beats from the inside or love swoons

Premium MemberIf it wasnt for poetry

How would I have any idea what I think, if I couldn’t read my own poetry?
When I sit to write poetry, my mind transforms the blank screen into a flurry of words and then sometimes a story that I had never heard before emerges.

The Hippy era in the 60's was rife with poets,

IF IT WASNT FOR POETRY

IF IT WASN’T FOR POETRY

If it wasn’t for poetry, I’d be free
Not a reluctant slave to my muse
Yet with just one occasional verse
The universe suddenly is focussed
Words that singly lacked meaning
Can combine and multiply emotion
Such that it made one draw breath
Seeing a glimpse of something real
That would not otherwise be born
Nor inspire some unknown reader
Perhaps

Sharing
what we have in common or delineating our differences through the medium of wrought words communicates a compelling narrative -
Captivation of beauty,
passion of love,
kindness of heart,
joy of happiness,
tragedy of tears,
hope of healing,
wit of wisdom -
the grand gamut of human emotions wouldn’t be shared if not for the language and vocabulary

Premium MemberWould You Love Me If I Wasnt a Poet

Would you love me if I wasn't a poet
I ask you because I do need to know it
Something I never dared ask you before
Do you find poetry something you abhor.

You tell me you love the poems I write
But get angry when I write through the night
That’s the time the muse is at its best
The

Premium MemberAt Least I Wasnt Hungry

When we sat down at the table
I didn’t have a hunch
It would be thirty-four dollars
To have a bite of lunch

My wife had eggs and bacon,
And I had chips with pork
For thirty-four dollars
I should have snagged a fork

I guess I’m getting old
Inflation’s getting real
I guess I really miss my
Seven dollar meals

It Wasnt Me

I’ll go on a limb
And say it was him

Oh no you don’t
I swear you won’t

With a grain of salt
Should I accept fault

But it wasn’t me
Just leave me be

You’re both to blame
Feel some shame

Forgiveness wasn’t Forgetting
Written: by Miracle Man
12-2-2019

At seventeen I saw something,
that I’ve always regretted seeing.
Causing me to leave home early,
some wondering why I was fleeing.

Both parties have long since passed,
to whom this concerns.
But at times I see this picture,
that in my mind still churns.

This happening long ago,
I avowed I was forgiving.
But sixty-five years later,
I find

I Wish It Wasnt Over

Our love was like a lucid dream
I thought I was hallucinating, hooked on LSD
her looks were so intimidating
hearing the word "yes" seemed unlikely
her skin was warm like summer
love blinded me and I became much dumber

It Was Said It Wasnt Anything

It was said that it wasnt anything
but with your help it became many things
for words are what build
and make action's
It was said that it wasn't anything
but daily because of consistency
for someone it became their
inner inspiration to believe
beyond site of what was seen
When I

While I wasn’t watching
A child was taught to hate
While I wasn’t watching
The hungry were told to wait
While I wasn’t watching
The future was betrayed
I finally looked and saw that a generation had lost its faith

While I wasn't watching
Another species died
While I wasn't watching
Another mother cried
While I wasn't watching
Another politician lied
I finally turned to look away and
