At Least I Wasnt Hungry

When we sat down at the table I didn’t have a hunch It would be thirty-four dollars To have a bite of lunch My wife had eggs and bacon, And I had chips with pork For thirty-four dollars I should have snagged a fork I guess I’m getting old Inflation’s getting real I guess I really miss my Seven dollar meals

Seven dollars sounds like too much to spend on lunch to me. lol. ~ My family of three at home goes out for dinner and spends $25... So, I guess $7 wouldn't be too bad... But $34?! For what?!

What gives? Answer, a government spending our money, like a looney drunk. And will keep getting worse, till people realize it. But no, most live in denial. Great poem, Jeff! I feel your pain. No more restaurants for me. I don’t want to leave the house either. Gas prices? Nope. Have everything delivered. Hugs, Pangie xx

Me, too, Jeff. A very common meal with a friend and the check was $43.00. What gives? ...and then they expect me to pay the server????
