Being a mother to adult sons is wonderful
and hard and everything in between
I am a hard praying, hard fighting, mama
when I need to be, but I am also a soft
spoken, sweet encourager when it warrants
Mental Illness and Substance use have made
my role harder and more needed than many
moms of grown men, but I am just thankful
that I still have the role of mother to both of my
amazing sons, because it has come close too many times
It feels like I am fighting death for my son's life
and I will FIGHT for him. I will show up when he
needs me, even when the sight is something that
no mother should have to see and I have sat in
hospital rooms way, too often
I feel like I am also fighting for my son that is not
ill, but has a heavier burden to carry due to his brother's
condition. Such heavy issues weigh on a person's heart
and can cause so much emotional pain, but I promise,
I will pray and fight for my sons as long as I have breath.

Where liveth preen for empathy
Drew ragged,
Poor sawbones perscribed
"where in pain warrants lithe deformities"
Swimming,
Loathed from the east
Collared,
Hung dry,
Pruned by the sweat of a racing night
When in dawn's bleached seamstress
Sought a grim vow
Erelong in catapult
Where'n torrents clothed spare
Credences in cold eyes of maggots
A cruel indifference,
In polar tear.

The story of a Criminal Grandma
Not a good one
A crime spree old lady
One that is witty, Grandma Dynamite
An Old lady who robs and steals
She uses dynamite to explode
Stealing from banks
Never saying thanks
Even Police warrants her arrest
Grandma Dynamite has a way to contest
It’s all about steal
She doesn’t conceal
Grandma Dynamite follows through on her robbing desire
It’s dynamite acting like fire
Her voice always says,” STAND BACK”
She has a spreadsheet having a numerous criminal track
Grandma Dynamite might capture one’s heart from the start
Take it from Police, she knows how to make her mark
She gets what she steals
Dynamite becomes the Police ordeal
Grandma Dynamite is known around the world
Grandma Dynamite being a criminal celebrity
Explosions in the aftermath.

Greedy, bitter, jealous, and lustful women with free range
Unfortunately the masks are off; they will be treated estrange,
Impersonating many people with prideful alter ego capacity
Self absorbing made them all grin and behave with audacity,
The investigation warrants for a list of charges and sentences fairly
The tables have turned over abruptly loud and unceremoniously,
They never expected major setup setback or down spiral luck
Never reaching a feeling of remorse, now quacking like a duck,
Let this be a lesson for those control by that alter ego
That quick scheme thinking leads to a horrid prison expo.

I fear people have lost their way;
now, hatred and lies rule the day;
our morels faded over time.
Purchasing political will;
cult leaders are prepared to kill,
perpetuating fear through crime.
They claim that they believe in God,
but that declaration is fraud.
Faith has morphed into a pastime;
a mockery of true belief.
Exploiting people's pain and grief;
greed fuels anxieties climb.
Alternative truths are all lies,
merely bigotry in disguise.
"Love thy neighbor" was God's decree;
not manipulate them through fear.
Such behavior warrants a tear,
and I believe God would agree.
And yet, evangelists, meanwhile,
preach all immigrants are hostile.
Heaven's locked; love's the only key,
and no other will get you through.
On judgment day, God will judge you,
that's Jesus's Divine guarantee.
Search your heart to locate your soul;
work to heal one another's pain,
refuse to be led; take control.

Kenya changes forever
Not in transition but out of pressure
Built and passed on through the bloodline
Until it sufficed to stiffen a generation’s spine
The gloaters are deflated of their dares
And will never again conceal the affairs
For they tried on us the bait and hook
But now all shall be an open book
But we must endeavor to be civil
Keep our tongues and hands from evil
No rage warrants taunting your elder
No reason rhymes with ousting order
Pay your honor to whom it is due
And in days to come it will be paid you
Strive to sidestep curse and to clinch blessing
In light of all offense most hard pressing
The passage of time will usher you out of youth
Bear with you always righteousness and truth
Guard your hearts with all diligence
Choose your demeanor without negligence
Be honest and clear cut
And let not the land revert to the rut
Place not aside your God in your fights
For it is He who crowns with privilege your rights

Dirty martinis and Cuban cigars
Fishnet stockings on hookers Playing my guitar.
Long days at the beach
Women without wedding rings
Making a list of my favorite things
Sex before Breakfast
Out running the cops
A judge that grants bail
Then getting bailed out.
Books by Sandra Cisneros
And Renaissance Art,
All of these things have a special place in my heart
But when the bars close
And I'm still sober
My dealer doesn't answer the phone
I think on these things
To keep from getting pissed off
And I express how I feel
in a poem.
Rock n' Roll music and classic cars
Rockford Files reruns
Deep cuts that leave scars
My probation officer not making me drop
Dive bars bad girls and musty bookshops
A day at Wrigley
Watching the Cubs
Cool Tucson mornings
And falling in love
The sound of my children's laughter
and the first day of spring
What an exceptional life I've had to be part of all these things.
But when I'm hungover
And I've got warrants
Or when my car breaks down
I think about all of my favorite things
And haul my butt out of town

Love generously grants with ease
Thrill of a stolen kiss,
But doesn't come with guarantee
Of lasting joyful bliss.
Love tests with ambiguous quirks -
From playful to insane.
If we stay to endure, it works,
Reward outweighs the pain.
Take it or leave it, up to you -
I'd rather take the fall.
To feel the fervour flaring through -
Is worth risking it all.
So followed I quests from above,
Thrilled by a stolen kiss.
The one that led to you, my love,
Warrants our lasting bliss.

Spring this time of year
has left my games behind
who warrants a secret?
I've left my pride behind
when you try to find a reason?
and its fanfare is forfeit
There's a labyrinth you delve
and you reinvent sorrow
with no one to comfort you
From the old World ugly and evil
then pay for mans Absolution

Light fading across charming mountains,
Sunlight bold, hasty indigo clouds…
Whimsical, wistful raindrops, drizzling
Upon brilliant colors, crisp gold and auburn
Shadows laughing through the firm vows,
Sanctifying inhabitants who normally trust
In spiritual passions, soul stirring - moods
All that brings doubt to its finish and faith
To its arising – world in accord, goodwill
Commonly known as His abiding favor, His
Inspirational truth – a Savior who is living
Proof that God brings His offspring sanctions
From His word, the vision – the wisdom
The amazing conviction that warrants souls
With the ability to know what it is…
To honor a Savior who is worthy of all our worship
A Savior who is worthy of all our adoration
A Savior who is worthy of all our gifts – unconditional
Gifts from truthful, trusting souls, who know…
His glorious light glows from within our own souls!

Sage scented dreams of beauty and journeys beyond
after the sun has bleached the sky with regal strays of blond
it turns into a crimson shade of shying pink and rosy glass
pouring out its last sweet ray on velvet trees and grass
Worship ceremonies, braided leaves of smoldering strong
memories grooved on the heart we know where we belong
every sorrow gathers here, sometimes we walk alone
artist strokes of genius and suddenly we feel at home
Pastel colors white washed thoughts of yesterdays that kiss
back in days when we were happy and nothing was amiss
Former times when I could see colors of an evening sunset
those were days of gifted bless with no warrants no regrets
Hints of lavender milked soft into the fading of the light
there is nothing more I value than the gift of second sight
As the artist seals her art the sky turns solid brass
while the faded denim sky drops his shadow on the grass .

Lust wreaks,
Love speaks.
Lust appears pale,
Love appears pail.
Lust warrants you jailed,
Love seeks you bailed.
Lust travels near to sink,
Love goes far at blink.
Lust don't offer you much test,
Love will give you the best.
Lust suits you well with its pretense
Love caress you much with its defense
Lust makes you go for the big price
Love gives the worth cum your happy sacrifice

We stand on the brink of a savage day
Astounded by the onslaught of fighting
In Ukraine, a beautiful land, so far away
Where the fires of cannon are igniting
Flames of hatred, fear, and mistrust
As the free world stands by in horror,
While a dictator satisfies his greedy lust
Like a modern-day reincarnated Fuhrer.
The best course of action seems hazy
But we’re told everything is on the table
To send American troops seems crazy,
Still, we must respond as we are able.
Perhaps warning of the long-term effect
This incursion upon innocents warrants,
We can, hopefully, impress upon the tyrant
We will punish his disregard for respect.
It seems a small, insignificant response
But we have the power to cripple his might
Let him not take what appears nonchalance,
For his nation will suffer a crippling plight --
Ostracized by all peace-loving nations,
Strapped for needed materiel resources,
Unable to trade for the necessary rations
Essentially embargoed from available sources.

Winter chilling tribulations cannot be denied;
Nor can determination and hope that abides.
Pandemic trials and tribulations have their time,
So do the loving spiritual supports that are mine.
Though many are filled with grief in their fate,
I maintain loving trust in my ever-promised faith.
And though pandemonium and faith challenge me
Together,
There is nothing in true faith that my faithful spirit
Can’t weather:-
It’s not that I have never been through a winter of
Dreadful deep discontent;
My faith never denied me, the divine power to deal
With whatever winter sent.
For I have never lost faith in God’s promise to my soul and me
That we would weather winter’s terrible turbulent Paul-like sea;
Thus, with the fake Greek-Covid god and goddess trust upon us,
Let us epitomize the essence of our God in whom we place our trust.
There’s yet a winter of challenging freezing discontent—we’ve been in—
That we’ve wondered what warrants ways to deal with what this life sends.
