When did the moon first emerge on high?
A cup of wine in hand, I ask the blue sky.
The lunar palace is fairly bright;
I don’t know what is the date there tonight.
I want to get there riding the wind,
But fear that the heavenly jade palace
Stands too high above and excessively frigid.
I’d rather dance with my shadow in the moonshine;
It’s more enjoyable to live a mortal life of mine.
The moon hovers over the vermilion pavilion,
Hangs at the carved window,
And shines on me.
It shouldn't have any resentment.
But why does it wax full when we are separated?
Mortals are bound to experience joys and sorrows,
And the moon waxes and wanes.
Since ancient times things have been far from perfection.
Living far apart,I wish everyone good health
And a good view of the same full moon.

WHEN THE MIND WANES
In jeweled sky he doesn’t count stars’ grain
Asks why for whom in dark void do they glide
On starless nights he searches sky in vain
Finds them in child’s eyes, asks why the stars hide.
On the beach he doesn’t count the waves’ row
Asks why for whom in open air waves break
In the ebbed sea he doesn’t find waves grow
Finds them in broken hearts, asks why waves wreck.
Rain drops dripping from leaves he doesn’t count
Asks how big drops should grow for them to fall
When the leaves dry he calls clouds to dismount
Feels the eye lash wet, asks why do tears crawl.
Deep in psychic space he sees his mind wane
Blind in his world, they say he is insane.

liquor in a dying bum’s throat chocking on tears heaven
is a wink and a dollar-bill rabbits in the dark sex in the park
chessmen move in minds of shadows dressed in suits with gin
in hand the mice run cheese severed tales of another rabid blessing
the worm-hole moves through your eyes a ghost runs fingers through
your hair dangles in the still mid-night wind exploding generations of
soldiers painted green with philosophy plastic guns painted children modern
mother earth awakens visions drum smoke into the storm of stares glancing
choruses cracking churches changing shattering showers of sun slipping acid
-tears tear rain music hears ears gasping deaf white winter birds flap red death
-bed angels leading hands crying glory with glowing lips sealed the wax wanes

Finishing life's rare found treat, at her Chinese restaurant's
All which one may eat with a bowl of neopolitan ice cream
Gazing upon neon tides, bright lights; Hong Kong in the night
An innocent baby girl of around five, pehaps native's child ?
Beauty's eyes amid such their purity glancing at myself; curiosity...
Her waitress or his cooks daughter possibly waiting out another day
While I sit to enjoy the city scape never turning yet knowing she is there
Entering my mind these two whom twine; touching this Spirit escaping, the dead.
