Words,
Sniffed by open ears.
Tangled sounds, of throats whose thyroid pounds,
For sakes, palavers and second rounds.
Hearing me, I learn to hear of you,
Your words my throat encode.
Vocalizations, tell tales of supplication,
Certain senses must've forebode.

Bite that pseudo-thumb at the world,
sit a moment in solitary confinement;
Your ideology is so blissfully bent
it favors crooked instead of curled;
No need for sour vocalizations
culled lineage was reserved for us;
There is nothing left to discuss,
we’ve no time for empty declarations;
Endemic of a fantastical China forest,
“Black and white treasures so rare,
sweet bamboo loving panda bear…”
I wish action matched that joy chorused.

The earth is big and the earth is old.
There are so many things
in vast creation to behold
that time and nature bring.
One more, one less, it matters not,
for those who earth, inhabit -
one less tasty sunburnt apricot,
another tawny rabbit.
Yet, some species are in short supply -
indeed they are at risk.
It would be a tragedy if one should die
beneath our yellow disk.
There's the giant panda and the rhino,
and let's not forget
white polar bears in vanishing snow -
and the Chinese egret.
In the ocean, there's the humongous blue whale,
whose sonic vibrations
go up and down the frequency scale -
remarkable vocalizations.
But there's such an abundance of men,
I think it's safe to say,
my presence makes no difference, then -
today, tomorrow, yesterday.

Never say never
It could happen
It could not
Committed to
Non-commitment
Vocalizations stuck on
Silence
It's enticing?
It's inciting
Riots
Put your President
Behind bars
Unlocked my cage
Set me free
Free to roam
In the predator's enclosure
Your enticements are incitements

An ancient scraggy yellow cat
(nape infected with crusty mange)
frequented our house, asking for food.
He was not shy announcing his presence
or asking to be fed alongside another
guest we call No Neck -- the two were friendly,
sharing twin feeding bowls amicably.
Old Gold often bore the scars, the bloody fur,
of a frequent skirmisher (and loser.)
He was feeble, his sight not good,
and his vocalizations in advising us of his presence
were loudly unmelodious.
He enjoyed a fond petting and was often seen
padding cautiously about on nearby streets --
a free, though aged, spirit.
It grieves me to report that,
with good intent, we took
Old Gold to treat his mange,
but, after tests, were told
he could not be treated.
He had feline AIDS and leukemia.
So, he needed to be put down.
There are no cures or treatment.
We miss his visits and his scratchy-screechy calling.
His roaming done, he rests now, quietly,
in our garden.

There's madness in enlightenment,
preferring darkly recesses of denial
whilst moon descends sensibilities,
shedding white powder florescence
fracturing every crack & crevice,
most days long to dwell
in oblivion, remembers it fondly,
before unicorns and monsters
became real and materialized
taunting duskiest memories
always knew in her bones
that something was askew,
fear and breathlessness
a huge part of her psyche,
on the surface she seemed
to have it together but,
her marrow was aware,
as dysfunctional trembled - -
nagging blitzed neurons,
felt its prevailing intrusiveness
a foreboding presence beckoning
in blindingly echoed vocalizations,
long before time even existed
She lives in continuous disorder,
tucked away within her own reflection
chaos extruding every wakeful moment,
powerless to cease mind-boggling adaptations
