Premium MemberGeraldine and Me

She asked me to dance.
Matter-of-factly, led me
Held my eager hands -
She ruled, and I followed.
Cling to smell of cinnamon, while
She saw dark chocolate, craving to be had.
Neat and tidy as she, speaking.
Charting language of love, virginally.

Naturally, I clamored.
Loving everything of Geraldine
But granny said, "girls don't dance with girls."
She seemed twelve, and I, eleven, sat carefree.
Then Granny and Hurricane Hattie stepped in
Changed trajectory of our love.

Poems Are Blood and Bone

Poems are blood and bone.
~
Poets are oil spits;
flamable ancient reservoirs of
contestable spirit,
mallowed constitutions.

Hollow seekers of destitution
prowling depression beds
of coughed discarded memories
blanketed by romantic reverance
virginally shredded in lines of honest prose.

The poetic is posted between self harm
and alien repetition. The poet
sheaving change to cliche should rather
grasp the phantoms
binding body to wordly weight.

Poets lost their telos long ago,
and now farm the deserts peel;
a catalyst appraisal of
that odd-fantastic Real.

Premium MemberWoodsy Palindrome Paradise

There was not a "peep" among the trees in this autumn woodsy paradise.
The leaves were much "redder" than remembered in days long past.
An unfamiliar "pop" sound led my eyes downward, where I saw gray squirrel,
With his little brown "eye" focused on a walnut that had rolled from her tree.
A "hadedah" flew past, a rare bird for this magical place, a mysterious visitor,
Grass "dewed" to perfection, there was a crunch as we wandered further into the forest.
The "marram" grasses which bordered this paradise, were virginally left alone, unscathed
As the sun approached 'noon' we heard a renegade "peep", whose source is yet to be found.
The deepest part of the forest was a "wow" for me, I had never seen such beautiful vegetation.
My friend discovered a left behind "alula", probably from a blue jay judging from its markings.
I suggested we leave it here, "deified" in reverence by the charming protection of the forest.
We gave a sad "pip-pip" to the day’s end, as twilight overtook the forest, and we re-entered reality.

Northern Lights

A frenzy of movement
Lovers locked in throws of love
Lights as a curtain no form
Lazily thrown into the heavens
For all to see before the Dawn

There am I in my movement
Running as the deer in flight
Never being caught in your light
Electric screens as not seen before

Drap me in your magic to hold so many
Hold them in awe of a beauty
Show me words that would equal you
Teach me to show the beauty so

If only If I could capture your form
lay you to the parchment sheet
Here held virginally in my hands
Give me a reason just a word

That is not a word you tease me so
It is a feeling just to me you show
To build a curtain so pure
You give each time much more
