Some seek leisure in the pristine wilderness
The solitary coast is the site of separateness
Each one is barred from harboring bitterness
The ocean thundering, roaring in its utterness
Nature fascinates me beyond my smallness
Never before impeded in the path of emptiness
From lackluster scarcity and austere emptiness
An itch for oneness in the cosmos of loneliness
We wait idly for the angel's plea for tenderness.

up in her tower
in a sequence of forevers
sure she hears
she sees she feels
she breaks fast with the best of them
then on through the day
she’ll do what she must
till she welcomes the night
and the moon in its wake
the scatter of stars
in a sky made of onyx
goes stagnant swayed
by a tide without malice
she understands
in the utterness of silence
she understands naught
but bitterness and sorrow
as it drifts in
beached and bleached
alone and in defeat
onto the sands
at her feet
