tear drops
drizzle of pain
configure mind’s upwelled brine
silent seep in desolate stream
psychic shape of sorrow

Ductile banks are eroded by swelling stream,
on the surging water the dislodged soils ride,
unsure if they’d disappear in sea with dream,
or would create a new land somewhere with pride.
Lost love the broken heart can’t ever redeem,
on upwelled tears the distraught emotions glide,
unsure if they would get lost in soul opaque,
or would build a new heart that won’t again break.

Premium MemberThe Last Drop of Tear

Cloud of despair rose from the seamless sea of sorrow,
storm surged from the dismal horizon of mind’s visage,
melted in many streamlets of tear to torrentially flow,
like the rolling rills of rain drops on the face of foliage.

All the dark clouds didn’t dissolve in the deluge of grief,
in a lone clump froze splinter of memory in emotion deep,
like the rain drop lying concealed in the fold of sodden leaf,
waited in me to wail for the promises I could never keep.

Before the ending of our pledged journey you had gone,
left forlorn, I crumbled within the debris of the fallen sky.
Hidden cloud clump melted in remorse, remotely known,
as it upwelled within me all the restraints I felt it did defy.

The spent sun set on strewn spoils of my shattered heart,
from dust of despair shards of my life couldn’t rise anew.
As the destined time came for me with the call to depart,
the cloud of memory shed the last drop of tear for you.

On the slate sky scattered the tinge of twilight glow,
unperceived at the ashen edge of the heaving horizon
the swelled clumps of looming storm clouds were born.

The streaming squall of upwelled turmoil began to blow,
splinters of the broken dreams on the ruins of rainbow
ravaged the emerald serenity of my sprightly meadow.

Strata of charcoal clouds covered the sullen sky hollow,
from molten cauldron surge of gloom started to pour,
tears carried the debris of agony to sedate sea-shore.

After storm was gone began the sparkling night show,
the sapphire sky adorned the bejeweled astral crown,
from the aura of full moon silver dusts drizzled down.

The cascading river of euphoria I felt through me flow,
to the banks of mind ripples of rhapsody I sensed roll,
while I set sail to the supernal sea of bliss in my soul.

He’s tired of seeing everyday
the rise and set of crimson sun,
decides to capture time, thinking
as butterfly it flies away
beyond deep horizon sinking.
So, on daybreak he starts to run,
his butterfly chase has begun
to hold time within his control,
to decide when sun’ll rise, night’ll fall,
how long dreams will live in split heart.
Butterfly flies far, can’t avert,
in its wake his past tapestry
from the top of hill he could see,
weaved in snapped strands of agony.
He feels upwelled emotions rise,
on the present he closes eyes,
melted rainbow stream flows within
where future drifts away unseen.
Storm clouds of gloom gust of wind clears,
he sees the butterfly fly back
while he slips on runnel of tears,
time captures his life off the track.

Odinkwa

Serene, yet filled with emptiness
Moon dust of dreams veiling the eyes
Fate: a river no strength contest
Brought you forth: a promised prize
And I with pounding heart beheld
For the first time my love and desire
Castled in flesh, and pride upwelled
For this El Dorado that many did aspire
To find, and some this gold touched
But never knew the beauty in their hands
For here mortal senses are hushed
And love ungilded dance on golden sands
That tells heart's joy for a child's birth
And coming, like soft flowers. Stared I
At the beauty that eclipsed the earth
From my mind: love in a mirrorless eye

And you were my first, my strength, my
Eternal godlikeness no logic could deny.

(Deborah ask me for a footnote: Odinkwa is not only my first son, but his name is Nigerian. Kwa
is the group of Bantu-Congo languages that includes many language groups in Ghana and
Nigeria as well. Odin is the Egyptian god Amun that became Akwashani in India and Odin in
Scandinavia. Odinkwa is the god who speaks with one voice
