Unpayable Poems | Examples

Able

There was a time
When my faith was unshakeable

The Lord proved
That I was remakeable

His love for me
Was simply not mistakeable

The Holy Spirit’s strength
Was totally unbreakable

For forsaking me
He was incapable

His call on my life
Was just so inescapable

But I went rogue
And became insatiable

I thought His love
Would just be replaceable

In the world I could hide
And then become untraceable

Write my own ticket
My desires now obtainable

But such a life
Is so unsustainable

Bent and broken
I’m biodegradable

I’ll never get home
The chasm unscalable

Would He take me back
That seemed so debatable

My life got so twisted
My actions so hateable

I didn’t deserve it
My soul was unrateable

Consumed with despair
My steps were retraceable

At His gate I cried
My debt is unpayable

He opened the gates
How is this explainable

You are my son
That is not erasable

Such love as this
Simply unrestrainable

The House We Built

Through Desperate highs by candle light
Synthetic afternoon delight
Self-righteous breaths to fill with drugs
A longing kiss swept under the rug

Lingering shadows that stretch on the walls
Breathing in deeply the screams from the hall
Unbreakable, porcelain dolls from our dreams
To live for the moments where nothing is seen

Your whispering pleas from midnight to one
In silence, a course bound straight for the sun
The noise of a city to smother your name
Still piercing within, my hands to the flame

I wake up with you; forget what I knew
Forever in bloom, that porcelan view
Unbreakable dreams of yesterday’s sheen
Vibrating at frequencies lost with a dream

Crescendos are lost in words that you left
Deep within memories; moments are kept
Reliving that day; I won’t walk away
The unpayable debt that I left you to pay

So haunt me tonight; the ghosts that we made
Tune in to the radio waves that we played
Indulge in escape with whispers from you
On nights the love in view, was anything but true

The Bitter Fruit: a Poem of Regret and Loss

Oh, how my heart weighs heavy with remorse
For making a once sweet fruit, so bitter, so coarse
She had lovely nature and endless in heart

But I, a black hole, took all

From the start my darkness consumed her light,
Like yang to the yin
I took and I took, like a wicked crook
and without a second look, Left once I had my fill
Gone!

In search of a new thrill
I watched her beauty rot to ugliness,
Like a dying daffodil

A monster she's become, twisted with hate
Driven to anger by love, she’s gone forever
It’s far too late

I mourn what I've done, my heart full of regret
I have an unpayable debt,
for a sweet soul now ruined

Oh, how I long to turn back the hands of time
To clean up my mess and make amends,
But it's too late, the damage is done, and she's gone
A monster now, a victim of my selfish con

Oh, sweet friend, I apologise for all that I’ve done
For turning your light into darkness,

For setting your sun

Saviour Day

Saviour day

A baby birth in a manger, was God gift to his creation on earth, his life was foretold, he was born with a loving purpose on the saviour day.

He came to teach us of his father endless love for his children's who have lost their way, his gift to us all began on the saviour day.

In a garden the anguish of his journey began to show as the price of sin sacrefice he was willing to pay for us on saviour day.

On the cross, his father redeeming love sacrefice he did pay, now we are coming to the true millennium for the reason of saviour day.

The true journey began in the manger in Bethelem, because a loving father yearn to heal the unpayable debt on the saviour day.

As we face the meaning of his Sacrefice two thousand years ago, it was because of this day we are redeemed when is your saviour day.

Though it began on the day of his birth, until the completion of his journey upon the cross as his father sacrefice there's no saviour day.

A Poet's Inspiration

“Leave thou of this reminiscent despair,
One of which thy happiness seems drear.
Leave thou too of this unpayable fare,
For it shall take you of everything dear.”

I look to the sky once more, under the cool breeze of the wind which hymns a string of thoughts endlessly through my ears. An endless cycle if I may say, I sit under the leafless mulberry tree with pen and paper in my hand. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the sound of screaming and neverending tantrum, I let it be my sweet silence. Here is where I find peace, where my mind prospers. With my pen and paper, no such obstacle can lead me to such trepidation.

It’s Tuesday evening and I’d finished all of my ‘work’.
Tired, I repose.
And here, I lay myself with all these
thoughts.
Ephemeral, but I’m satisfied. Happy!

Little Things We Do

There was a time you gave a little help to a lost stranger
By giving him the right direction where to go
One ordinary day a year ago you gave a coin to a beggar
It’s an unpayable help you just don’t know

The smile you replied to the girl’s grumpy face on the market
The sweet hello you said to the lady you just met
The kiss you gave to your granny’s crinkled cheeks
Are the silent, little gestures of love and kindness

The quiet prayer you uttered for only friend
The goodnight kiss for your parents before you sleeps
The sorry you said because someone was offend
Are the good things you’ve done that some people needs

The funny joke you tried just to let someone laugh
The advice you gave to your troubled half
By letting him borrowed your favorite pen
You shared life and take away the pain

We sometimes don’t see those little things we do
That affects others in good way and yet we don’t know
The world needs it every day lets continue to do so
Let’s create a happy, positive earth for me and you.

Premium MemberMany Waters Can'T Quench Love - Song of Solomon 8: 7

The love of God is unlimitedly vast
no measure of it can we attain
it’s fathomless in its great depth
no description’s possible from any brain

Almighty God Himself sends it forth
in all His great deeds of kindness
protecting sustaining this earth here
no matter our worsening spiritual blindness

God loves us no matter our great sin
how often we betray Him but yet
He keeps pouring it out upon us
this we owe Him an unpayable debt

But this debt Jesus paid in full
giving His life as a sacrificial lamb
what price is this of such love
granting to us His healing balm

Many waters can’t quench love
no amount of oceans remove it away
for God’s love is indeed simply perfect
coming constantly filling our needful bay

(‘Many waters can’t quench love, rivers cannot sweep it away.’
Song of Solomon ch. 8 v. 7.)

Intimacy

"To sense your own ungodliness in becoming utterly aware
Looking back upon your mess your soul now coming bare
Your Creator who is above has made Himself known to you
Those who have felt His Love would all know this to be true

Complete and utter insignificance and yet your face He knew
Creator of something so immense and here it is just you two
My very being starts to shake as I can only fall to my knees
And of all that heartbreak, He heard everyone of my pleas

And in just feeling His very touch, just knowing He is there
One only needs as such, if from this world they could tear
It's so sad that all were invited and so many did not show
So satan delighted, he's a lot smarter than you, you know

But it's not over yet as the Lord works in Mysterious Ways
Paying your unpayable debt watching over all of your days
Perhaps maybe tomorrow you'll keenly sense He is near
In sensing a bit of sorrow as things become more clear

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee;"

The Breath

The breath I
breathe
Has no price
If it had a
price
Be it a
penny...
I'd owe a
debt
unpayable

In no time
A wreath
would have
been laid
By my
graveyard

The breath I
breathe
Is a free of
charge
Thanks to
the breath
giver
Who asks no
penny
