Success

Rainy chilly and dull
Are some parts of Kenya today
flooded unpassable
are some roads in Kenya today
most leading to the KCSE centers

 others parts probably sunny
not flooded not rainy today
but one thing I Know
A set of Kenyan students
are set to sit for KCSE

and the best I feel
is the power of success
and the wish for them
the best and sincere I pronounce
Boys and girls all alike
may this be the stepping step
to your bright future
SUCCESS

Plastic Alice

Plastic Alice through the looking glass
I espy her
in yellow pattern dress
set her free

As the cavalry of life
passes through your eyes
a vague comical yes prevails
dense companion

A parody starts
summoned REALISATION
night time dissipates
broken wings
A debt so unpassable
dull reflection
you can be anyone
you want to be
show some freude!

Just What Am I Gonna Do

If I only knew
The troubles to get through
It is unpassable by you
Just what am I gonna do

I can always go around
Or go deeply underground
Would I just abound
But not to see you'd frowned

Running from my trouble
Left me growing stubble
Made my trouble double
Got trapped into a bubble

So now I never run
Go there having fun
Not to ever shun
To say we had just won

So just what am I gonna do
My life I will go through
But this I cannot do
If I am sitting here telling you

Self-Esteem (Free Verse Improv)

At first, you compare, like side-by-side
metronome tick and tock from (not) you to you and back.

At second tick, brick-by-brick are towers built in defense
against non-existent foes. A miner's diligence, it takes
to dig beneath in roundabout ways; to catch off guard,
defenses down.

At third tock, through periscopes you peer
submerged in oceans never mapped, gone
off to uninvited parties on battleboats in sailor
hats, avoiding uncalled, unreal, unpassable
muster.

At last (finè) alarm clock sounds
and wakes you up to morning self-esteem -
not generically from factory but naturally old-fashion
style with farmer's soil plus rain and sun,
with omega-3.

I think that I will learn another language just because of the sound of the words
That would be the only purpose just for the wonderful sound of that language
I think that I will learn the species of every bird not just those in Georgia
I think that I will have my hours of meditation each__ every day

Meditation to relax mind__ to be filled with a new story let the river flow
By digging hard maybe I could deflect the river onto another path
A path of learning and of growing into very different stronger person
Then that river that runs rapid after a rain overflowing its banks__ideas

Imaginary things and __problems or maybe I could channel it to work
To operate a grits mill _ power electric plant serving community
Maybe it will be diverted over stones, pebbles__even boulders hard places
Those places that it really wants to refuse to enter

This river will run until its course reaches an unpassable place__locked in
And not a chance to change__then and only then I will just have to blast to free
Ideas__dynamite thoughts__non-conventional__like what happens if a huge
Iceburg turns loose and floats toward the US
