I Tried to Unlearn

I Tried to Unlearn

……. his name , his face, his memory
but each morning they kept resurfacing;
rubber ringed feelings that would not sink
no matter how hard I pushed down.
So I journeyed to places
that had rooted our relationship:

The park where the broad-shouldered oak
unwrapped delicacies of intimate memories
then leaning in much closer
it shared a consolatory shadow.

The river that coiled past
churned up affectionate thoughts
then rippled onwards to twist back
with a scornful smirk that made fun of me.

The café where he teased
about expressoing our shared ideas
and consolidating coffee compatibility.
Then on the butterfly wings of symmetry
our relationship seemed to fly to new heights
but was I another Icarus on a solo flight?

So the past that I had plucked at
offered no signs of warning, no signals of regret;
sadly the present, the here and now,
yields no guidance on how to….. forget.

The Greatest Knowledge Is Learning To Unlearn To Relearn

Learn without learning
to unlearn,
it's dangerous...
it's living
without knowing why...
because illiterate
is that one
who learned to read and write,
but unlearn to relearn... !

Unlearn

UN learn!

Becoming aware of what,
These long white streaks
In the sky are?
Is like learning
To swim,
Or ride a bike?
Once your eyes
Are open!
You can’t
Not
See it,
Even if for that
You yearn!
Like swimming
And cycling,
Once you have
Learned it,
You cannot
UN learn!

We Need To Unlearn

we need to
unlearn
and get out
of the shackles
it is easy
she was smiling
i could hear the yellow
butterflies whistling
insecurity is inherent
in us grown in the
yard of the system
a drop of rain on
her raw lips
have you ever
worried for ample
air to breathe
then why
she was philosophical
now
corrupted system
her wisdom was pleasing
a king fisher dives
into a sordid dream
we need to unlearn
and
be children like
again

I Will Learn To Unlearn Loving You

I Will Learn To Unlearn Loving You

I will learn to unlearn loving you
		if forgetting you will
stop me from loving you,

like breathing in without breathing out,
I'll count the days with you
and uncount them without you.

My mind untangles the tendrils of my heart,
		our hearts.

It may take days, months, years or a lifetime,
it may happen or it may not,

from wanting you and unwanting you,
from touching your lips to not,

I'll bury my pruned heart to the deepest earth
and not leave a statue nor
a gravestone.

Perhaps the first morning rain will remind me,
clinging back to you.

My heart may beat again or may not, if it'll
		my mind unceases and unceases
		thinking of you.

My heart will forget forgetting you, for it
throbs for you, throbs for you.

Tendrils will creep back to my heart, to your heart.

Fairmaiden's Pearly Pathway.....Unlearn To Relearn

As I stop short from entering
her silken journey
in an instant,
our world consumes us...

Forgotten are the voices of displeasure
acts of previous indiscreet measure

Forgotten are the shadows of troubled past
untrustworthy creatures of unlikely cast

Forgotten are the pains of crying youth
as we interlock our promises of loving truth

Forgotten is the world of misunderstanding
rapt is our joy, finding each outstanding

Forgotten is the pathway which led us here
only thing on our mind,is our life we now share....

In that instant,
wrapped within the folds of love's heat
coupled release is now what we seek
releasing the past...releasing the present
new lease on life's journey,
within my fairmaidens pearly pathway.......
