I was lost, thoroughly lost and sat brooding.
Dejected and desperate with no one to share,
Withdrew into the dark caverns of my own shell,
Snapping all connections with the outside world.
Trapped in the piercing claws of despair,
I waited around the bend for the sharp jaws to unhinge.
Did I hear a gentle whisper in my ears,
Like the soft sibilance of dancing waves?
“Arise, Awake, bolster your spirit” Did someone say?
It was like a gentle breeze tousling my hair.
It passed caressing my cheeks and my whole being.
It lifted my spirit above all chaos,
Burnt the blues of every hue outright.
I felt the feathery touch of love,
Granting me the grace to forgive and forget.
A beacon of light was seen in the night sky.
Guiding me and exhorting me to wake up,
Unveiling new paths for me to tread on,
Gifting me with a new sense of worth,
Kindling resilience, unhooking all knots of gloom.
Kissed by the passing breeze of this awakening,
I emerge into a new being, empowered and ready,
To take on life anew, with no chains and no cage.
I feel my wings opening out and the vast sky sprawling above.

You emerge happily from your Rolls Royce
But neglect to remove your seat belt device
Hope no one is looking
As you begin unhooking
A gorgeous babe greets you at that moment precise

He always sat on the moon alone,
Ten letters underneath spelled his Creator
Fishing for stars in a garden overgrown
Would his company ever be greater
Than only the Man in the Moon?
Pole unattended, he walks the equator
He returns to find a catch not a moment too soon
A girl, hanging by the hood of her jacket
Singing a solidarity tune
Unhooking the small packet,
He sets her into the freedom of space,
But she bounces back next to him, a ball off a racket
And as the two stare out into the night’s face
He wonders if the second throne
Of Dreamworks is her place.

Unhooking my bikini, I fall in
to Utah Lake; it’s thirteen years ago!
I’m naked, and the sun - incarnadine -
like me, has also slipped itself down low,
(though into dusk), while, I -in water -glow!
My arms are freckle-speckled, lightly tanned.
Beneath my skin I’m feeling golden, and
my breasts are buoys, round and pearly white.
My legs kick strongly; they are lean and grand;
I’m sturdy - yes - but now I’m sweetly light!
