Feeling Golden

Unhooking my bikini, I fall in to Utah Lake; it’s thirteen years ago! I’m naked, and the sun - incarnadine - like me, has also slipped itself down low, (though into dusk), while, I -in water -glow! My arms are freckle-speckled, lightly tanned. Beneath my skin I’m feeling golden, and my breasts are buoys, round and pearly white. My legs kick strongly; they are lean and grand; I’m sturdy - yes - but now I’m sweetly light! For Cyndi MacMillan's YOUR BIRTHDAY SUIT Poetry Contest

hello andrea! this one is so deserving of 1st place, I love it, some very vivid descriptions - "freckle-speckled", "breasts are buoys, round and pearly white" - and that word INCARNADINE, I don't recall hearing it before, I must look it up...busy and taking a break from poetry at the moment, dealing with health and marriage problems alas...

Super late personal congrats to you, Andrea. Spending the night reading poems and commenting. Though a funny monorhyme is bubbling just within reach. Again, thanks for this entry. Just wonderful. Hugs, Cyndi

Hi Andrea, I am reading this for the second time and it remains wonderful, would you go and read my poem Bella, Bella, Bella and give me your opinion, not a single person left a comment and I am thinking perhaps it is no good, I value your opinion very much. of course only if you have time.

It was getting dark and hubbie and I were the only ones on the lake (at least in that area of it) Otherwise, I would never have been so daring! It really feels good to just kick around in the nice cool water that way middle of summer!
