Soulfully pray
And you won’t go astray:
With your bent knees’ offer of luminous ray
You always shall see as to not end up Satan’s prey
Nor the sought dish on his demons’ tray
With soulful prayers you sniff a lurking fray
That could badly discolour a day
And make a man like an ass bray,
All the way
Us readying for an undreamt-of sick bay
Or a hospital’s bill we can’t pay...
So, with soulful prayers
You ‘ve started voicing your nay
To all barriers,
All of them ordering to get cut of your way!

The icicles that grow for years
and slowly cry then drop and die
in liquid pools of frozen tears.
The pain that builds within a lie;
lives that wait for want of love
and slowly cry then drop and die.
Prayers for kind hearts undreamt of
in a world of cold despair;
lives that wait for want of love.
No shelter from the winter air -
longing for a warm embrace
in a world of cold despair.
Where they're gone without a trace,
hopes that freeze before they drip,
longing for a warm embrace.
From this world they gladly slip -
the icicles that grow for years;
hopes that freeze before they drip
in liquid pools of frozen tears.

Hello my baby doll
You will always be
An amazing bestowal of god
for your loving Dad
that was born with
an astounding will
emblazoned in your black eyes
were an undreamt-of and incredible
waves of inquisitiveness and
all the ups and downs in my life
were written off and forgotten
on the auspicious occasion
you were born and
I could imagine
my never unfulfilled dreams
fly high in the blue sky
I could now encounter
dark clouds of
disillusion and desolation

we gently pray upon our desire
or maybe our desire preys upon us
recoil in disgust at the muck and mire
only to answer, "what's all the fuss?"
life's joys and private hells undreamt of
scale's fulcrum tipping the balance of power
recoiling from the pain of our own love
and the similarity of "devout" and "devour"
Pavlovian, we turn to the bell ringing
for a scrap of nourishment or tender care
too often to find indifference stinging
is all that others have offered there
how can we anthologize a life
without including a rhyming of strife?

Grace in Falling
I have moved through the three ordinary sounds of life
to find you waiting next to
all the unspoken words and
undreamt of understanding you longed for.
So we Walked the long mind of winter to become this lost, then wrote "More myth than
woman"
and titled it with another woman's name
as a gift
veiled.
I could not touch her face with all my
words...without suspicion but held
her all the same.
I see your tears
all the unchanged pain exchanged for
hope.
and find a currency unspent
hiding in your pockets with so much earth.
here love has only one meaning and the soul
cannot defend itself from all the lies
I once told you.
I am not this Earth or the weapon that
frees you with it's own destruction.
I can not bring you peace or the
love
born outside your understanding.
we are not these Bodies
you tell me.
I am fighting for every breath now
seeking all the unspoken words and
undreamt of understanding I long for
but the soul moves on
learning who you are
and
what you have
and
will
mean
to tomorrow.
the Earth will remember you as
love.
