Joe Biden is a gambler
He’s got rune stones in his shoes
When he steps up to the table
He believes that he can’t lose
So, he places bets without speaking
Using head fakes left then right
And underwhelms us all each morning,
‘Keeps us sleepless every night.

But there is no need to worry
Orange may come after all
You’re laughing now; you won’t forever
If Donald answers the call
If they close the shopping mall.

The Vlad is happily puttin’
Russia’s Future in the Dump
With all the dead, burnt bodies
He stands yelling from his stump
he’ll end up with all the monsters
‘Come before
Stuck inside the Ukraine
With the Afghan blues again.

But there is no need to worry
Orange may come after all
You’re laughing now; you won’t forever
If Donald answers the call
If they close the shopping mall.

Mind

Mind; that nebulous cloud,
is not what we suppose it to be.
It is not between our ears or eyes,
that is merely a rented room.
Its lodgings are everywhere.

Mind may reside in a starry hotel
circling a solar plexus,
but even that place
is only a transitory tent.

Mind is not gray brain-matter,
not a constant twitching of neurons
rooted to a branching spinal cord.

When Mind leaves its borrowed homes
it overwhelms any thought of size or shape,
just as the notion
of a man-made image of God
comically underwhelms.

The keeper of this drunken tavern of Mind
serves love in thimblefuls
but each one is deep enough
for any brain to drown within.

Ritualist

Boundaries untouched-
        I held your hands.
        Peer to peer.

The highway apart-
        we will become strangers,
when life would beat the flower beds.

From mountain top-
         the moon will come down,
to ask for the way to martyrdom.

How will I find you-
         riding on a hurricane,
when the deluge underwhelms the bridge.

Not made public-
         I took you in moonlight,
celebrating the arrival of the cage.
