Premium MemberWe Dont Need that Kind

Mortifur, Santa’s head elf had no time to clean his house
There was snow on his porches, and his tree was undecorated.
But this was Christmas season, his busy time.
Everybody’s busy time.

He was too tired to care.
Working ten to fourteen hour days.
If the tree got decorated, good.
If he did not have to do it himself, even more good.

Anburger, a new neighbor, wanted a secret meeting
To vote Mortifur out of Elf Village for not doing his part.
He doesn’t even decorate his tree! Anburger said.

The other neighbors had their own meeting.
Decorated Morifur’s tree, cleaned his house,
and banished Anburger from Elf Village.
We don’t need that kind, they told each other.

Elegy On the City's Edge

The sleeping sky is cloudy
And creates a veil over the lying minds.
Like a festival, the cemetery is alluded,
And turns to a hunting ground.

Open Graves and pits -
They lived.
Crowd of faces in their shades,
To amaze those preys.

Reefs and sheets they laid
On the unseen skins of the deceased
To commemorate their ways,
In spite of the deaths unperceived.

Decorating - they decorate the undecorated,
Whose lives cannot be consecrated.
The clock ticks, and time's fastened
In memories imprisoned.

Candles that could not light
Their lives any longer,
Cries that won't see them in tight;
Yet, they restitute their hunger.

They, lying there wished to smile,
But are thousand miles -
Though sighed at the benevolent pride,
But embraced their newest mild.

Wishing Well

"Wishing Well"

Plain Jane blew her wishes
down a wishing well

Lit long white bless'ed candles
dipped in holy water

Brackish

Crocodile tears from Hell
Witches hold hands together

Stand united
show and tell

Plain Jane
knows her subjects inside out

Sisters plain and simple
holding hands

united

standing by the
Wishing Well

A Beautiful Day

It is the last day of December
My fir tree is standing
Undecorated in the garden
Under a full moon
And under a lonely star
I am sitting in my armchair
I am drinking coffee and I am listening to music
I appreciate these gracious
Moments of distraction
Which help me forget my sadness
But it always comes back
Even though I keep trying
To drive it away
I am approaching the window
And I see how the snow
Dressed my neglected fir tree
In a virgin wedding dress
It is bowing to the moon proudly
Under thousands and thousands of stars
I am standing amazed
And I am starting to summon up my courage
To breathe
