The bride ran from the unconsummated ceremony weeping.
The best man had handed her a note; the groom was not coming.
He couldn’t have told her before the guests arrived?
Before she put on her gown and veil?
Before her daddy walked her down the aisle?
A track star, she was faster than anyone else.
She ran until she could run no further.
Her faerie godmother followed her.
What can I do? What can I do?
Transmogrify me, the bride said.
Turn me into something else.
I can never face them again.
The faerie godmother waved her wand.
A gorgeous tree developed out of the bride’s essence.
The faerie godmother waited for further instructions
But a tree cannot talk.

Over the distant horizon where unsullied love
Quietly calls in her yet unconsummated calm,
There daft hate has not sown its haughty gall;
There void's vitriols make no sweet airs numb.
In great ecstatic joys do merry lips there rejoice,
And forever sing happy songs themed on hope;
Where lie purest lands spiteful feet never tread,
Past farthest skies where jollities sing full voice.
We've there each saint in finer whitened gowns,
Under bliss-filled wings free from earth's frowns;
Where witch-hunting enmities oppress no more,
Where our mudslinging detractors wage no war.
Sublime carols heavy with unceasing peace
Pipe rest to every battle-battered soul there;
Where brotherhood keeps all on their knees,
Where no tempting sights weak victims dare.
There's a sprawling refuge all green and pure,
In a most pristine state past our highest azure.

Charming Man met Shadow Woman
in a daydream, and took her to a Shang-ra-la
she had but flirted with many moons ago.
She met him inside a mystery and enjoyed
him intensely and immensely – the feel, the smell, the delight.
Romantic, handsome, and unbearably but secretly
And discreetly wealthy, he took her in his arms.
Their passionate, yet unconsummated love
was immensely powerful as Shadow Woman
fell under Charming Man’s spell.
He had a family who loved her, revered her and
encouraged her. They had introduced them after all.
It was only her self-doubts and inner conflicts
keeping them apart. She thought she was too flawed to ever be
loved by the likes of him.
Every night she reveled in her love and joy
for her Charming Man Prince, ignoring world men
who would never live up to his charisma or reverent adoration.
An avid romantic, Shadow Woman never thought of
seeking any other man, fearing disappointment.
Her cats sighed at her abject loneliness.
Every night, languishing in a cocoon of sheer love
for their mistress who lovingly reached
for the next novel and the newest Charming Man.

On day one, Chloe, Bob’s darling new bride, had a little “Bob to-do-list”,
His spanking new in-laws, the Fortners had one also, as this was their little miss.
Sex was out, as Bob was too busy and hardly had time for a kiss.
He ran away from them in six days, unconsummated, with barely a hiss.
Chloe learned where he was, and followed her Bob to his Montana lair.
A pretty cabin set deep in the mountains, which sometimes lured a raccoon or bear.
They were happy a week, these frolicking lovers, sweet nights, in their cozy den.
Until one horrible, awful, day, when the Fortners pulled up; they had followed them!
Those crafty newlyweds sneaked away from her folks in the middle of the night,
A loud grizzly growl stopped them in their car, giving Chloe quite a fright.
The bear came out of the cabin, big and proud, he had eaten her mom and dad.
What started out as the best honeymoon week of his life, was the worst now Bob had ever had.

love
the world was ending
and still we owed each other
the unconsummated kisses
of all lovers
it rained bitterly
desperately feverishly
it rained with the need of droughts
the despair of floods
your body unleashed
merciless thunder
lightning ripped mine
into quivering arches
you finally slept
by the hot thighs of my thought
at the edge of a long kiss
desperate as the end of the world
with bloody lips
I rose
wrapped you in a dream
and with a single gesture
stopped the rain
