Cold winds
Void whispers
Silence in the shadows
A world relying on forgiveness
Hatred brings suffering
Separation comes without being heeded
And our paths are to be walked, alone
Cold winds
Unageing sceneries
Empty hands
Flames which burn for eternity
Moods swell
Comfort in the goddess
Temporary world
The stars hide and laugh at us
Cold winds
Cold hearts as well
Words forced back
Let's plunge in dreams
Pools of amnesia

“O dear friend, the wonders that we have seen!
Departing this world has taught us to live
With what little light the nighttime might give;
In the dark we remain unageing and keen.
Deep in the cold ground, there’s no use for love,
So fear of its loss we leave to the living;
Dying has made us quite unforgiving
Of the awe we once felt of heaven above.
In this dank, heathen pit, we’re our own gods;
We pray to ourselves, day in and day out,
To keep from our hearts all shadow of doubt
That heaven’s the realm of perpetual frauds.
March on, O friend, so that you too may find
An early end to your bleak beginning;
Resting in peace, we’ll dream you are winning
The endgame we know plays out in your mind.”
With a silent goodbye, I press ahead;
My friends will continue to dwell in the past,
To live in the dark, where no shadow is cast;
Once we feared night, now it's light that we dread.
