The Church of Rejects

Hidden in the valleys
Towered by mighty peaks
Lies the church of rejects
The church of those called weak

Those the powerful sent home
Out of strong belief
That they were a contaminant
Not worthy of the Chief

Rejected by mankind,
And seeking hopeful refuge
They travel long and far
To the Church who comforts me and you

They feed them bread and give them wine
And embrace them as they dine

See, the Church of rejects--
Who bear the pain of unacceptance
And watch rejection of the truth--

Is ministered by the one insulted
Humiliated
Murdered
Mutilated
Used as justification for those elected
The very men who cause rejection

Is ministered
By the one and only God above
The giver of light and truth

My Homies That Don'T Know Me

My homies that don't know me from the outside in
And wherever home is I feel outside in
I feel inside out
Wide open and shut
I keep silent but inside me i am screaming aloud

I keep trying to learn me how to figure me out
Why do they stencil always try to figure me out
Let me sink to the bottom
Then they try to finger me out

Sometimes the world feels scaled down like a figurine house

And I'm a real boy
Or perhaps the houses chew toy
Now I know why they keep swallowing then spitting me out
Yes, I am never about
Yes I am hiding out loud
To my homies that don't know me from the inside out

A Mon Autre Moitie

From the glimmering stars of the night,
To the silent hymns the wind utters and sighs;
I wondered, I wondered,
When will my heart ever flutter?

To dream of the one whom I wish to see;
Short curly hair and a smile that sets you at ease,
A voice as cold as the evening breeze,
Yet adorned, craved, a lullaby that calms the seas.

À mon autre moitié, I want you to be you
For I despise the unacceptance of one's flaws.
I will cherish every moment, every bit of you.
Worry not my dear, for I will truly love you.

For you I have forsaken thy wish to live free.
I now lock the cage for two, and two birds only.
