Backfire

A upholder strong, bold, and courageous
Belittled and trivialized
Accepting truth; she's bon a fide
Speaking up for self became contagious.

Time's Disarray

Just a second -no, wait
it's the hours of the day,
  sixty minutes plus fading in the fray;
no,
it's the weeks lost in the months,
  actions and escapades debunked,
then again, maybe not,
more like the months turned into years
  passing quickly through laughter and tears;
better yet,
it's the decade of the years that slipped away
  trivialized by work and play,
with memories mixed and confused
 forgotten and bemused
  gifts and blessing misused;
it's a lifetime hurried with goodbyes,
rose-colored glasses that forged its lies
  with every step we laughed and cried;
take me back a moment in time
 to remember and recall
  to know and appreciate -
we had it all.

Heretic of the Modern Age

away with capitalistic free market enterprise
where the concomitant features of greed, power and wealth
fuse to form a pact of unrestrained mass-consumerism
while simultaneously obliterating any shred of a humanistic ethic.

the hollow emptiness of a hedonistic philosophy
representative of the western civilization
rings with the sound of falseness
from the belfry of commodification.

debunk the myth of the supremacy of man
where the less sophisticated species
remain in a role of subservience
while religion upholds this point of view.

the travesty of contemporary existence
epitomized by the crass characteristics
endemic in the advertisements
prior to the advent of a holiday or sale.

opinions about significant political issues
and the general emotions toward the processes of life
trivialized into a farcical sport
by the producers of commercial goods.

renounce the superficiality of the make-believe world
and also the stamp of mass production
that transforms a creative human being into an obsolete soul!

Century of Shame

When the birds are spilling down from the sky
And all the ocean dwellers are floating
Human carelessness and greed will be why
It's the environment we are choking
Everyday we continue provoking
Raping the the planet that keeps us alive
Damage is massive and trivialized
There's no species as covetous as us
A century of shame we symbolize
Always wanting more, it's never enough

The Last One

Pain & fear of the unknown
     This pain is the consumer
I live inside it at its heart
    & my heart is heavy
           & fast & hard
     pounding in my stomach
my sick thoughts begging to get out
     my result
     waiting eternal suffering
     for my flaws
     my weakness to tell me
     to show me
     what I have lost.
It was not just a game
     for me.
It was my love my soul
     tossed aside mocked
     shamed trivialized.

     I've been so many
     casualties
     naked numbered
     wearing nothing
     but their tags;
     but you're the last one
     my heart does not beat
     the same
     it always skips
     like a broken record
     idiot.

     You're the last one
     I'm forever naked now
     in just your chains
I no longer wait in line
        cast aside
     no one calls my number
        or name
It was not just a game for me
        pain & fear
     pounding in my stomach
like vomit begging to get out
     You're the last one
     My heart does not work
      quite the same
it always skips a little bit
      Idiot.

Red Scarlet Heart

‘RED SCARLET HEART’

Cardinal desire misled chastened into submission instead
To tread water in the deep end of humanity a ruby watershed
Surrender is fed comfort zones of self-destruction fine tapered threads
A sharp silver flash of bloodshed releasing all pain in crimson red

Armoured withdrawal begins to spread- unseen by others, well read
Realisation of vermilion hidden- a personal undisclosed habit forbidden
Destructive behaviour trivialized, always recognised, seldom actualised
Pain divides an element of blank-one battle, one person to thank

A surrealistic rosy escape- ongoing dysfunction a mammoth mistake
The easy way out drowning hurt and fear-- piercing hearts with razor sharp spears
Carefully constructed isolation is violated- forced visitation, medical annihilation
Therapeutically enhancing Picasso on the wall- reflective perceptions- inevitably reality calls

Premium MemberEarly Warning System

This is a test,
this is only a test,
of the early hubris
warning system.

The first fifty years or so
you didn't pay any attention
when we knocked you on
your butt.

With all the arrogance of youth
you hopped right up and
trivialized our warnings.
"I'm good, what's the big deal?
Take your best shot"

Well our best shot would
have left you
Dead!

What do you think about that?

We gods reserve that for those of you
too prideful to take a hint.

You're not getting up so fast now.
These little shots will do
to remind you to get rid of
that dam ego.

I Love You Sometimes

the love comes
and the hate grows
love tries
hate has a hat on its head
love shows
hate makes an appearance
love slips by
hate says a loud statement
love let's it go

... all i know is i love you

all i know is ...

I LOVE YOU

sometimes

and my hate is trivialized...

kiss me
kiss me
conk me ...

your love for me is=
now
you knew it all
along-

you knew it all
along-

the love
this never leaves

hah!

try, but here i am!

give way and you know!
i love you!
