Gliding with grace, they set a high bar.
They are natural born creators.
Remember “Move like a butterfly . . . ?”

How tragic to do or nearly die.
Beauty meets pain when two boxers spar.
Triathlons sure make people go far
with running, cycling and swimming too.

Keeping a rhythm triathletes must do.
Soccer and football – such sports require
agility of the super star.
Athletes with prowess – how they inspire!

She's a triathlete, dialed into a lifestyle of dedication and clean living.
Logging lonely miles down isolated trails.
Where grizzlies and perverts like to dwell.
She bikes upon the veins of a big city.
Cars filled with smartphone addicts and assorted crazies.
Buzzing within inches of her lean ambitions...
(She has much more faith than me).
She dips into the salty black sea at dawn.
Where the bulls and tigers abound.
Splashing about like a wounded fish.
She's the bravest person I've ever met.
So focused -so oblivious.
It's a miracle she made it to the starting line.
Let alone the finish.
I have invented a sport called Yogates,
What, indeed, is this, if you please?
Why, for you, it is inertia, you see,
You lie under a blanket, only breathe,
You wear what you like in Yogates,
A steady state of not doing,
No, you are not doing Yoga or jogging,
In cute couture, like shorties,
You are not swimming in pool or sea,
No chlorination fever for thee or me,
No lycra or spandex triathletes,
No marathons for fluoro funnies,
So, this is multi age or gender, see,
Yes, all you do is lie there and breathe,
Now you can opt to do Yogates,
Or not, it is not compulsory!
