Like poetry in motion some sports are.
Consider Olympian skaters.
Gliding with grace, they set a high bar.
They are natural born creators.

Remember “Move like a butterfly . . . ?”
Like poetry in motion some sports are.
How tragic to do or nearly die.
Beauty meets pain when two boxers spar.

Triathlons sure make people go far
with running, cycling and swimming too. 
Like poetry in motion some sports are.
Keeping a rhythm triathletes must do.

Soccer and football – such sports require
agility of the super star.
Athletes with prowess – how they inspire!
Like poetry in motion some sports are.
