Been a life trenching year,
Several trials my soul has faced,
Aching, and paining and brutal injuries
Left me strife ridden,
In an ocean blue of self empathy,
Coerced myself to turn a new page,
Finally got on to writing for a change,
Having faith in what's good for myself.
Stand up and give this glorious life a try!
Heaven only knows what served on a plate called life,
Covid 19 has put as all in a cage,
Learning, to play honest is de facto brave,
Read books of the old dusty shelf,
A newfound tranquility in my soul I've earned,
Calming the blizzard and hailstorm,
Left with a piece of a fulfilled day.

Her pale face is voided antiquity,
a paper-thin line
fallen fresh
from flowery fallacy
to hardwood floor, coiled
cold & blue in landing;
words, like little
droplets of April rain,
a distant deluge
of drought parsing orange
Hemerocallis petals
trenching
around her.
To see it unfold.
Bent at the altar,
Spring’s forgotten daughter can’t.

The taboo is teeming
I am theologically tired of believing
this transparent telepathic way of seeing
is tinted I try teary eyed and tipsy
trying two twins trained teaching tricking
they're two tough tattooed too tattered toxic for the picking
through this telestic telegraph clocks keep ticking
sex torture telegraphed sickening
tampered teenagers raging bugger flicking
twisted family turmoil cold teeth clicking
tattered soul transparently tragically tripping
theoretically speaking
triangle submission back flipping
tough to take down truly once sipping
I'm like terrible terabytes trenching through computer swamps not slipping
this tea shop no teaspoon for sugar not tipping
torched up time to take two dabs torn bong ripping
with my two feet in the water double dipping
with a tarnished tainted coin for skipping. -TA

"SHIVERS"
"I GOT THE SHIVERS
WHEN I LOOK OUTSIDE,
"THE WHITENESS OF
THE SNOW ONLY
WANT TO HIDE."
"BLINDING OF THE
LIGHT JUST SHINING
RIGHT THROUGH,
"TRENCHING IN THE SNOW
AS I AM OFF TO SCHOOL."
"WITH THE WIND HOWLING
AND MY JACKET WRAPPED
EVER SO TIGHT,
"AS THE SNOW CONTINUES
TO MOUNT RIGHT
THROUGH THE NIGHT."
"THE DAY BEGINS TO BE NEW
AS MY EYES OPEN AS THE LIGHT
STARTS TO COME THROUGH THE
BLIND BY THE DOOR,
"WITH THE COLDEST OF THE
AIR, MY BODY CONTINUES TO
SHIVER, AND MY HEART BEGINS
TO SOAR."
"THE LAUGHTER OF THE KIDS
PLAYING CAN BE HEARD
FOR MILES AROUND,
"STILL THE SNOW CONTINUING
TO MOUNT ON THE GROUND."
"WHAT I WOULD GIVE
TO BE A KID ONCE MORE,
"WISHING THAT I CAN
GO BACK IN TIME, JUST BY
WALKING THROUGH A DOOR."
"ONLY TO KNOW THAT A WISH
IS ONLY A WISH,
"TO ONLY LIVE WITH ALL
THE INGREDIENCE OF LIFE LIKE
YOUR FAVORITE MEAL TO A DISH."
"A SPICE OF LIFE
FROM THE PRESENT TO
THE PAST,
"MAKES ALL THE MEMORIES STAY
EMBEDDED IN ME, AND TO
ALWAYS KEEP AND LAST."

So let's see what the laddies need
To charge the guns and not impede
The rate of fire to cut them down
And body bags to go all 'round.
Let's give then picks and shovels
And blamket rolls to boot,
And heavy rolls of barbed wire
To carry for the shoot.
And fancy spats and bayonets
And canteens and trenching tools,
And gas masks and radios
And spy glasses too.
All crammed into the pit each man,
His name and rank unknown!
How bodily well he was supplied!
The banker's wealth---it doth abide.
