clings tightly to a bare branch --

Purple twilight darkens the day.
A green tree frog jumps embracing
an ashen bark. His eyes open
to silence, as it stares within
inches of a small flickering,
iridescent lightning bug:
as it brightens up the night.
I am mesmerized and amazed
as I watch the green tree frog jump,
gripping the tree bark as it throws
its sticky tongue out of its mouth
and wraps it around its fragile
prey capturing and swallowing it.
As the tree frog creeps away from
its moment stay, a colorful
yellowish-orange aglow turns
us cold. The lighting bug glowing
as bright as the sunlight from the
inside of the tree frog was still alive.
I didn't realize how harsh truth
can be. Looking closely into
our world, understand that there are
still many things in the world that
can surprise us.

A small Native tree frog that is found in the fields of Puerto Rico.
Its color is Brown. They are called Coqui by the onomatopoeia
sound mating call made by males.
When is raining , their sound is heard wide spread. Usually they can be founds
in the leaves of plantain and bananas. A song called Coqui® was sang by
the 1980's quintet called Menudo ®.

Hot, dry summer's day
Finally comes to an end
All the tree frogs come to play
Signaling a storm_my friend
The child screams out the window
Shut-up frog in the shadow

The tree frog
Sings really loud songs
It sticks with rubber
Stoppers on any surface
Around__sings the rain
Down onto the ground
When in large numbers
Their singing is a pain
It can disrupt sleep
And they can lie about the rain
Lay those eggs by the millions
On any water source
