the person she was at eight a.m. did not recognize her three p.m. self
She had thrown away two or three “I will never's" that day
transmogrifying herself into a willing flexible chameleon
no one else noticed, which amused her slightly but lightly
Part of herself wanted to scream her new truth, but she was shy
Her muse took the helm and wrote about it, but who read it? No one.
Notice me! She was screaming silently from the inside
Self-absorbed, no one offered her time or attention.
Wait! Hope walked into the room, in the form of her old boyfriend, Roy.
He caught her eye, and then her hand. She felt like a fly trapped.
You are more beautiful than ever! He told her. His smile was crooked.
He looked delighted with her; she knew it was the alcohol speaking.
She had completely transmogrified herself since he left her.
Did not bother to share her changes though, he was clearly not interested.
She searched his face, wondering who he was seeing.
the person she was a few minutes ago, barely recognized herself.

The gnome wizard is proud of his transmogrifying hat.
Through telepathy he can cajole it to turn into a cat.
Or a dragon, an anaconda, a worm, a mealy mouse or rat.
The only thing he does not ask is that it turns into a bat.
A bat gets stuck in his hair and makes him sneeze.
Disentangling a bat is not easy, not any kind of breeze.
He might consider it if it is below zero, and a freeze.
For if he wore a hat he might get rid of him with ease.

Turquoise circus leopard could transmogrify when he took a notion.
Appearing as a shark, whale, or clown fish, swimming inside an ocean.
When he reappeared as a leopard he often retained his blue color.
He’s an embarrassment said his sister, his aunt and his brother.
But he is also beautiful, argued his father, and his sixth-grade teacher.
He is way too high-spirited and spiritual, argued the Baptist preacher.
In a few years, turquoise circus leopard began studying the sky.
Now after he transmogrifies into a cardinal, we watch him fly by!

Cobra woman had a unworldly glow
There was something purple about it
She shown in the dark like a psychedelic popsicle
We gave her and her pet a wide berth
choosing to sit anywhere but their corner of the jungle
Cobra woman had a reputation for transmogrifying her enemies
I did not want to be her friend, but ….
I did not want her to put me into the enemy category
Could I make friends with the cobra?
He brought his head up and stared at me.
I don’t think so.

He has the kind of evil inside that every woman wants
They follow him as if he is candy; a pied piper of sweet
he is anything but, so I guess this is what attracts them
I am an empath; being so, I can see through his purple heart.
Not the kind the brave acquire, rather the kind evil ones are born with.
His aura is murky and muddy, the darkest gray.
The others flock to him, sheep to the slaughter.
I do not warn them. This is their destiny, their life path.
I thank God that this time around it is not mine.
He used to try to get me to believe in him.
Transmogrifying himself in tiny ways, to fool me.
I always recognize the teeth of a wolf.

My song is orange without a tinge of brown
With yellow highlights, swirled around a pink sun.
She sings in a lemon like melody of a meadow lark
I feel uplifted and revitalized when I hear her
My song is transmogrifying, she is turning aqua
She glides into a fresh new swimming pool
Chlorine drips off of her shoulders
I feel refreshed and alive when I hear her
My song is spinning in a Gemini way
She is mercurial, rapidly turning silver.
I cannot slow her down or catch her.
I am delighted, and cannot get enough.

rapidly revitalize and rejuvenate me
showing sensitive shards of sincerity
transmogrifying tingling tangle of truth
underlying and unifying undying unity.

Her moonchild ballad so heartfelt and warm
the voice of an angel, lifting my heart
I am captivated and intrigued
my imagination parades through meadows and mountains
she is singing in a language I do not know
yet my soul understands completely
There is a tenderness that is precious
A bit of a lament, a love poem
She is singing to her lover,
assuring him that she will always know him
Through past lives, and future incarnations.
Her notes caress my ears, assuring me of her love
An incredible gift, you have Lyn,
An angelic voice. It is prettier than harps.
I listen and I learn, transmogrifying myself into a butterfly
flitting from note to note, enjoying the view.

A wizard, a witch and a wand went that way.
But the Ebony Cat and the Pumpkin decided to stay.
They had heard about the antics of a bumpkin, tragic.
They knew one thing, these three had black magic.
A scarecrow gave them a tip of the day.
He told them of a corn maize where they could play.
The wizard, witch, and the wand promptly came back.
They picked up the pumpkin and the black cat.
She will be my familiar, the witch cackled with a groan.
Ebony Cat was terrified; she was afraid of this ugly old crone.
Pumpkin decided to show some magic of his own.
He rolled toward the gate, and got out his cell phone.
He called a warlock to come and secure the old witch.
It was a friend of his father’s, and the guy had a twitch.
These two crazy old coots both cast a spell.
Which promptly put them both into a deep dark well.
The witch was the first to get out, and she bewitched the cat.
Transmogrifying her into a beautiful but tiny vampire bat.
The warlock was on her tail, and changed the spell into turquoise blue.
So the bat became a cat and the pumpkin did too.

Trying to turn tulips toward twilight
Two toads laughed
Too bad, one said
That’s crazy, the other agreed
They then tried to turn the tulips into twinkling twigs
Tell me if you are not magical, one toad said to the other
To tell the truth, I was never asked, said the other
Transmogrifying his companion instantly into a thunderstorm
The thunderstorm roared with trepidation
This was truly a kick! The magical toad said
The moral of the story: Do not ask a toad if he is magical.
Thus, you will not have to get transmogrified into something else

Eureka! I think I have found the meaning!
Thank God! Because it's so late in the evening
Criminy! I just forgot what I was thinking
Odds and Bodkins! If I only had an inkling
Holy Cow! What an awesome revelation!
After so much prayer and supplication
Jumping Jehoshaphat! It's gone again
I was almost enlightened; about to transcend
Damn this transitory satori, damn this fleeting glance
Arms akimbo while I stand in reverie and trance
I can't grasp it long enough for it to take hold
Manifold instances and myriad thresholds
Gazing into the ether and staring into quintessence
The Prototype welcomes me into The Presence
There is a radiance I can't see the start or the end of
The only thing said to me was a transmogrifying "Love."
