Premium MemberWhere is Lucy What has happened

I had not heard from my friend Lucy for several months
She had not responded to the last three texts I sent.
I texted her this morning “are you okay?”
A typed transcript came back this afternoon.
Three months ago she was loading groceries into her car.
When she turned to get her purse, it had been stolen from the cart.
She does not have any phone numbers memorized or written down.

Stealing a woman’s purse has to be the work of a snake.
This is a low-down-selfish-mean thing to do.
And has caused her much angst.
I telephoned her house line and left a message.
Telling her my phone number.
Then I called some mutual friends.
They are doing the same thing.
We cannot fix what the snake did, but we can try to help.

The Other Half of the Poem, After Dilly Dally

Taking a stroll, silently tip-toe
Talking to strangers, tangential existence
Strangled for talk, struggled to speak
Straight for the taking, tangible change
Take a short cut, time stands still
Transformed the scenery, terraformed set
Shouts from the tomb, post-existential speech
Scanning the transcript, searching for truth

Maturity That Matters

Who was such an arrogant p***k,
Turned out a sport, and double quick,
What was vulgarity
Turned into charity,
What was a faux pa, what a trick!

Happenings |20.12.2022| Limerick

Poet’s note: New Zealand PM Jacinda Arden was caught on a hot microphone using a vulgarity. Yet, what could have taken an ugly turn, turned a face-saver. She and her target agreed to sign an official transcript and auctioned it to fetch 100,000 NZ dollars. Well, one who was a p***k sort, turned out to be a good sport! Some may focus on vulgarity, some on charity, what about the politicians’ maturity?

Love Letter From the Soul Xxxv

S.A.P.(asap),

 We live, we learn
(some from the best)

Divinity, time, perseverance,
life churning, life burning
inner heat transformed
no warning
for such
a heart is touched

outside I hear storms
but insides, remain calm

a glass menagerie

reflections of you in me,
me back into you
outlasting eternity

beauty beheld in transcript
written in wanton eyes
transferred tongue to tongue
word to word, whispered
in passion

three inch stelletos
stretching limits
boxed carried, walked
upon the backs of weary souls
sealed with more than a kiss
there's no more slipping
or resistance
no, no, no
it's not getting away

Had Deer Who Would Dare

had deer who would dare,
show his face most anywhere
scared off by big bear

this is spring's story
we found in a magazine
that page was torn out

he saw his transcript
and again totally flipped
all of school had skipped

what would be meaning
if we never understood
words he was saying

Premium MemberUnwritten Ink

There you were - dancing,
unaware of the intense rain.
Despite grey clouds grimacing,
your radiant glamour enticed emotions.

Emeralds and sapphires shimmered
through those luminous eyes.
First glimpse of your warm smile,
saw suppressed symphonies resonate
with each beat of my heart.

Not all poetry is for everyone's eyes,
so we read each other in silence.
Unwritten ink dyed our skin,
as the pen lost control,
carving our names within
timeless beloved ballads.
Two souls scribbling secret sonnets,
easing restless chambers of our minds.

Naturally beautiful like nature,
our evergreen love blossomed.
As we wandered within utopia's oasis,
our feet kissed sun blessed paths,
leading to passionate pastures.

There is no transcript,
to our epic love story,
it will forever remain an
unpublished manuscript.

Trump Has Been Highly Inteligent

Trump Has Been Highly Inteligent

Trump said that he is highly intelligent;
We tried to understand what he meant,
Analogy by Miller,
A  real thriller;
Sure hope someone can give us a hint.

Would like to see the results of Trump's
Miller Analogies Test, MMPI, Stanford-
Benet, Weschler Bellevue and copy of
college transcript along with income
tax returns. Also, Kavanaugh and
Prophylactic as a tactic for abortion
is also interesting. Robey Versus Wade
was definately not created by Kavanaugh.

Trump Slipped On Script

Trump Slipped On Transcript

Seems like up again,  Trump had slipped;
He said words not contained in transcript;
Were missed,
From his list;
Then when it would occur out he flipped.

Judge Who Held a Grudge

Judge Who Held A Grudge

We knew Judge a grudge he would hold,
After one more predicted plot did unfold,
Hair ringy;
Also stingy,
Who is poorest one we ever have polled.

Over 10 again.

When You Gotta Go You Gotta

After you had learned would be a lotta,
Coming out,
No doubt;

Trump Had Groveled Riding Horse

While riding on horse Trump is groveling;
Putin and he caused horse to be hobbling,
And while there,
Horse did share;
After being off horse both were wobbling.

Trump Sticking Out Neck

Trump as usual would stick out neck,
They say had resulted in a big wreck,
Many hurt;
Blood on shirt,
When being bitten by a bloody insect.

Someone had taken another big swig,
After opening bottle with sharp twig,
To tavern go;
Did overflow;
And from head would loose their wig.

Academic News

News of our examination results cheered us
Long wait we accommodated
Anticipation tinged with fuss
As anxiety our minds intimidated

Speculated
Doubting the truth
Anxiety accumulated
Sometimes sliding us South

Beside a destination to dreamland
Expecting the best
Assuming a TCZ brand
For a while could rest

Till to our disbelief
News filtered catching us unawares
Scratching on our heads the consternation kerchief
Whose fares, flares and glares

Became insignificant because with joy our hearts leapt
As reality pricked the doubt
That crept and swept
Bulk of the clout

Hitherto intact
Briefly shaken
To impact
Brethren without a reason crestfallen

Until facts filtered and altered
Scenarios where doubt dwelt
When facts our self esteem flattered
As collection of result transcript became reality well spelt.

I LOVE THE LOVE OF YOU

                                      I come before you broken
                                      With silver cords unspoken
Alas my darling “as I transcript this verse”

If I Was President of the Usa

If I was the president of the USA.
By Stanley Russell Harris
The new mad author
& A Poetry Soup honourably mentioned poet

If I was a president of the USA!
Do you know what I would say?
To the press that miss-quotes me you know!
A press release, there would go.
Then if they could print, what I did write.
And get the transcript blinking right.
I would invite them to my office, you know.
And ask them why they insult me so?
Although a politician I may not be.
Neither am I a clot you see.
I was voted into this office, the other day.
So why do you adjust what I say.
And show me in bad light way.
As if you could report right what I did write.
Why on earth can you not quote me right!

Stanley, not the president of the USA.
Just the New mad Author today.
lol.

I Just Hit the Unicorn

fetishized lament
echoed
from colourfully besmeared winding sheet

devouring luminosity
become my pivotal infringement
vigorous luminosity

somethin' s wrong with her transcript
-they said, and put me behind iron pipes

my name dawned divested
and encapsulated in frame
of long time inhumed language

thus
soul
elastane woven
bends
every time words clash at those
indifferent barricades

this circle of life is fuc***
it cringes in parts it shouldn't

Danaans gift tried to conceal scenery
of birth given screenplay
they failed to excrement that light

clash became my attribution
yet they didn't let me to keep
any of that ordeal dust

they left me empty-handed

but emptiness brings happiness when filled
outage is divergent level of melancholy

undertone of this vanity named it pain
I call it a way of life
you got a thousand and one battle
war is mine
