DINNER
Tonight we’ll dine
At a restaurant fine
.To order, we’ll start
With the French words,
Entrée and a la carte.
Hors d oeuvres, escargo,
Brei and dubonnet.
If those mean food,
Why don’t they say?
Foi gras and boeuf.
Grass-fed beef?
Next on the menu:
Pesto, calamari,
Vermicelli, tortellini.
Served with bianco, chianti,
Oh me!
Not to be out done,
The Greeks have their fun
With: gyros, mousaka,
Ouzo, and baklava.
Apparently it’s fashional
To serve food international.
Adding to the appeal
Of a well-prepared meal.
OK by me!

I have a bistro in Tuscany surrounded by fine dining and wine-
“La Rosa” is where Tony married me and I just had to make it mine.
The Tortellini is the most favorite dish of all on the luscious menu-
Surrounded by many beautiful fountains with an extravagant venue.
Of all of Italy’s restaurants mine has the greatest chef-
Mario makes a delicious lasagna but was born mute and deaf.
He traveled all over the world to find an amiable destination-
We welcomed him with loving arms, he has the most dedication.
Our pastry chef bakes the most delectable desserts in all of Italy-
His pies and confectionaries are recipes from his Nana in Sicily.
Customers arrive for a romantic date as they will wait for a seat-
They drink Merlot and snack on Ricotta Crackers as a yummy treat.
We have a few regulars who sit at the same table every afternoon-
They laugh and flirt with my niece Maria whenever she walks in the room.
The food is really pricey but every Euro paid it is definitely worth-
For every one who dines at La Rosa leaves in happiness and mirth.

Why have my guitar
strings turned into spaghetti?
What a saucy mess.

Filled plate of grilled tortellini
Killed the great James Gandolfini
This star's carcass heavy
A Ford or a Chevy
Should have been a Lamborghini

Tortellini stuffed with cheese and spinach
Divine when coated with Alfredo cheese sauce
But not with some kind of beefy gravy finish
When those shells are cooked just tender
Light and delicate easily cut with a simple fork
Coated with Alfredo I completely surrender
Sometimes when stuffed with three cheeses
Topped with Marinara of such beautiful color
My eyes, tongue, and tastebuds it pleases
It is even better when the family visits
And on that day I have stuffed Tortellini
Stuffed pastas that really have their merits

Last night I found a sentence in your bed, just lying there between smiles and sweat.
And I picked it up and said: Hey Baby, let’s get more of those! But then you rose from the
bed and so on and shouted: No way! But what does it say? Oh Honey, you know I can’t tell
you that! But it’s got the I, the L and the Y words in it. And then you started talking
about buildings. Like if you had an ugly one just opposite a beautiful one, you would
prefer to live in the ugly one, so that you could look out on the beautiful one. And not
the other way around. And then you said that if love was Cream Tortellini you would prefer
kebab. Cause it’s easier to get hold of if you come home late at night – perhaps a little
tipsy – but you don’t have to if you don’t want to, and Kebab isn’t as fattening and that
you aren’t that keen on pasta anyway.
