About Lost Goals

I
                                                got
                                            Timed out
                                            and I shot
                                       no goals of mine last
year and here you have arrived so
soon, whistling aloud the start of the New Year giving
time to head out and set the ball rolling and suspend lamenting about lost Goals.

With renewed hope, I enter to have a field day in this Game of Life, Knowing fully
that I may lose in my tackle or may even Win
if my shoot gets the desired goal,
                                        When in this spirit
                                            I don't play,
                                             call this
                                                a
                                              foul.

Trendy Extortions

A floundering economy has given way to ingeniuos ideas
on how to make a buck,

Extortion rings are springing up all over the place taking control
of fortunes in clever ways,

Blackmail and accusations have become trendy ploys to bring down the ole boys'
network, leaving powerful men looking like uncouth jerks,

Many will pay top dollar for the lewd and crude accusations to go away,

giving vultures the clearance to have a "field day".

Heal the World

The world needs a healing from bigotry and bad feelings,
The fear of Nine Eleven in the air, has spread racism
everywhere,
It is not about buildings or religions,
It's about people making ostracizing decisions,
gaining enablers along the way,
affirming it is okay for hate to have a field day,

The world needs a healing
from the caustic feelings
of prejudice towards different
religious groups,
Races and ethnicities,
We need to remember that foreigners
are builders in the countries they inhabit,
We need to be more civilized,
instead of irate and "crabit",
Hate will only make the younger
generation sicker than having
the croup,
It will be every parent's nightmare if they fall
out of the loop,

It all starts at home
with the negative
comments that parents make,
The world needs to be healed
for betterments sake.

Jack Be Nimble

Jack be nimble
Jack be quick
But Tom's slowing him down
Too much laughter makes him sick

Jack is collecting himself
Up off of the floor
Tom's going to have a field day with this
And just write more

Two talented men
Making all of us smile
I'll never catch up
Or have their style

PoetrySoup
Is where you will see
