Premium MemberMeaningful Number

the number falling before three and preceding five
sacred in my culture to ground us to the nature of all things
the time of life when 'being' develops
and connects mind, body and spirit with life
the need for sanctuary, meditation, strength, being self
is found in the teachings of elders . . .
it is the life phase of babyhood, child, adult and elderly
the healing herbs in my culture
of sage, lemongrass, tobacco and cedar
it is the seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter
the directions of north, south, east and west
the elements of fire, air, water and earth
movements of a symphony, strings of a violin
calling birds in a famous Christmas song
suits in playing cards, legs of furniture, wheels, corners
three plus one . . .
the fab Beatles, a quartet, tetrad
limbs on the human body, angles
lucky clover found in the green, green grass
weeks of advent, shape of the holy cross
the number of angels watching over me from Heaven . . .

Blood Moon Iv, 4th of the Tetrad

By late night the earth's shadow had passed by
so no hint of the blood sign could be seen.
A cool, pearlescent sphere arcs through the sky,
yet earlier a blood moon shared its sheen.

The final eclipse of the moon's tetrad
passed within view this warm September night.
Once more night's host in sallow crimson clad,
beguiled until it passed from red to white.

This blood moon carried much profound portent
as millions gazed in awe from their purview.
How many viewed your face and now lament,
how many saw and now their hopes renew?

Again, the moon soars night skies pearly white.
Short hours ago it wore a crimson veil.
We ask that none on earth be numbed with fright,
because your burnished face could make hopes pale.

Now full and shining bright in your ascent;
moon stay your course until the dawn is sent.

                                      Blood Moon IV

As the light from the Sun is blocked by our planet earth
The light refracts differently, hits the moon with mirth
Like a hot kiss of a lover hits the cheeks of a maiden girl.
Each time Tetrad brings a significant event in the offing.

It reminds me of God Hanuman who had the power to fly
The red moon looked like a red apple to his childish eyes
He flew to the moon, was hit & as a result got chubby face
Each time the Tetrad brings a significant event in the offing.

In the past, the Tetrad has seen the expulsion of the Jews
Birth of Israel, the war between Arabs & Israelis in queue
Now I wonder, what is in the store of The Tetrad of 15th April
Each time the Tetrad brings a significant event in the offing.

                                  +++++++

Blood Moon

The fifteenth day of the fourth month of the year
Only shines for those who rise to see it
A hybrid lunar species merging the symbol of a vampire and wolf;
Howling at the moon while painting the night sky crimson red.
A lunar tetrad; a bizarre alteration of a lunar eclipse.
Four chances to catch the view, unless you’re prepared to wait until 2032.
