Goodbye Terence Stamp

He was very talented and he has died at the age of 87.
After living for many years, he died and went to Heaven.
His best performance was that of 'General Zod'.
Stamp entered the Pearly Gates and he met God.
He gave another great performance in Episode 1 of 'Star Wars'.
His skill as an actor is something that people will never ignore.
I also enjoyed Stamp's performance in 'Young Guns'.
I'm guessing that his death has saddened everyone.
He was unique and it's time to say goodbye.
It's never easy to see such a special man die.

he’art’ part 2

yes, life is an ocean & i’m staying afloat like oil in water
protecting my soul & living the full potential of my breath & grinding harder
part 1 was me painting a picture of how no man is on a pedestal
we are all like a glass after it has fallen to the floor
i’m no longer drowning slowly like titanic
i’m filled with God’s grace & blessings, so i’m not gon panic
i am thirsty for the sky, so now, i’m just out here, on my grind
chasing the cheese like Jerry, pushing for the win
& like Terence Crawford, losing is not in my dictionary
writer's block is the ink i use to paint my story
yes! i possess the character of the wind, i can’t be stopped
i have walked over many earthquakes,
so what are the odds? ‘cause like MJ i’m gon’ beat it
& leave a print like the passing of an elephant in a field

Premium MemberGreat Faith

When I was in grammar school
There simply wasn’t any tolerance for students talking back
The religious sisters at our Catholic school were very strict (in part because they had charged over dozens of students per class)
Order and protocol were paramount
I can’t imagine my fourth grade self ever openly questioning a religious sister
So
I am amazed at the persistence of the mother in today’s gospel
As she talks back not to the Mother Superior but to Father Christ
No less!
Father Christ eventually acquiesces
Praising the determined Mother for her great faith
Where did she get such faith
 courage
Perhaps mother’s bravery
Determination are due to her unconditional love for her daughter
If a mother’s love is so incredibly powerful
How much more powerful must Eternal God’s love for each of us be

Father Christ
Please help me strengthen my faith
To love you more each day

Unity

Unity
Mankind must find its unity,
of every color, creed, and race.
We must join together,
so we can move out into space,

What we have done to this planet,
because of what comes to this place.
There cannot be any immunity,
from what the climate brings to the planetary community.

Pale Riders

Pale Riders
(Not for the under-eighteen crowd, or the faint-hearted.)

Stars and Stripes waved in such bright glory,

                over bleeding children's corpses.

the braves were far away

there was no resistance against the Hotchkiss Guns.

The women screamed and cried as,

Soldiers rode so, so brave, to the strains of "Gary Owen".

I know today what that stripe of yellow on your pant still stands,

                as you rode away.

Strips of flesh cut from dying mothers,

You displayed their sex upon your hats of blue.

That day at Wounded Knee you should have struck your spangled banner,

                a swastika will do.

A nation hides its living genocide in the corridors of time,

                but God remembers still.
Based on historical events that occurred at Wounded Knee Creek on Dec. 29th, 1890. This poem was created as a result oy my reading of the book "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" by Historian Dee Brown. For full details of the massacre please read the book. © Mar 2014, Terence Cummings Smith

King of the Sky

King of the Sky
Mighty bird of heaven,
wing strokes like mighty, matched gales.
Flies through Sky World,
        like motion incarnate.
Air king your feathers ruffling,
        in flight.
Raucous cry,
        like thunder splits the sky.
Through blue heaven he sails,
mountains his flight can not abate.
Nowhere is a more magnificent sight,
        soaring amid fleecy clouds.
Then his prey he spies,
in wild silent plummet his wings fold in pagan prayer.
Dark shining eye alight,
he falls from the great height.
Talons grip his meal,
      in deadly surprise.
One brief squeal,
      a drop of red.
Pinions sweep down,
      he rises from the ground.
Sailing against the rising wind,
      he again obtains the Heights,
To find a branch,
      where can consume his food.
I watch rooted to the ground,

Change of Life

Change of Life
My life has lately taken a divergent path,
I have taken a fresh road,
far from the impassioned wanders of my youth.

Today I look for the truth,
    not the sated feeling,
which once sent my senses reeling.

I paid the cost,
    with many years lost,
for my pander locked in amber.

Getting Older

Getting Older
As I'm getting older,
    I'm not getting any bolder,
and women's attitude towards me is getting colder.

As I become a senior,
    my demeanor becoming meaner,
          my funds becoming leaner.

With all this trouble,
I'm living in a plastic bubble,
and you'll find my ethics in the rubble.

Summer

Summer
The summer is coming, first the spring than the summer,
it gets very hot we must not,
we must not get anyone shot.

From time to time, things may go very wrong,
then we must be so strong,
and learn to go peacefully along.

We must avoid a bummer,
    allowing people to be told,
        of advancement bold.

Keep the Lid On

Keep the Lid On
There is no reason to throw away years of progress for a momentary,
    fit of anger,
you will not obtain a profit from rioting in the street,

Do not play into the hands who would like to turn the situation,
    to their means,
        and roll good laws retrograde.

Keep the lid on for your own good as well,
I have no snake oil to sell,
acting in your own interest keeps your freedom free.

So far you have shown great restraint,
that's more than I can say for the Memphis police,
indictments have been made the guilty will pay.

Earthbound Paradise

Earthbound Paradise

Ruby red sapphire blue blossoms stand,
    in the diamond stream,
        little silver fishes play.

on a sky of robin's shell,
    Cotton puffs of cloud,
        golden gobs of sunlight glow.

Jade jewels of verdant green,
    along broad banks,
        of mink made, grow.

Ermine blasts of petals,
    lie beneath the shadowed shade,
        of tawny trees.

The pulchritude of paradise on earth,
in my mind's eye clearly seen,
        since birth.
            visited only in a dream.

sometimes no what the time words
flow. © 30 mins ago, Terence Cummings Smith nature

Submission

Submission
Please grant me my submission,
    for my great commission,
        of crimes in uncertain times.

I think my dear we can work it out,
  if you will think about,
the fact I no longer act the lout.

Fields of Chaos

Fields of Chaos
Amid the fields of chaos, we must establish some order,
we cannot let anarchists run amuck,
we can not let our democracy die this way.

They are people who can't be constructive,
Know only how to be destructive,
now we must strive not to take a dive.
My dearest BBG thank you for a lovely evening, I think I have suffered an overdose of love, and I can't wait to see the type of relationship which begins with "until death do us part" thank you for the loving spasm. © 17 mins ago, Terence Cummings Smith

Flight

Flight by Terence Cummings-Smith,
I ride the path ballistic,
        in a screaming, scorching arc.
From perigee in flaming hell
        to apogee far beyond Arcturus.
Neutrons and tachyons spray,
        from magnetic nozzles.
Through burning twisting vortex,
        of syncopated space and time.
Reality compresses into pinpoint ultraviolet before,
        Mote infrared behind.
My very thoughts lingering,
        most far behind.
Time's march freezes,
        rolls retrograde.
Nuclei dance, atomically chattering,
        Quarks trance.
And I'm there.
