Democrats like Damocles Sword's imminent jeopardized positions of power hail her rise,
Decades of teamsters support, NO, Harris-Demos few endorsed her in the public's eyes,
Democrats today are like the Dixiecrats of Dewey's days are playing old-school, sex-race cards,
Repubs set in their ways, and Demos are bendable like what's his face got her on second base, charades.
He needed to win, expendable, same cards played, sex-(win over for the women voters) it is a given for the race.
D for Demos who are Distancing from Drunkards--her hidden card takes centerstage--loses face.
First line expounded of my original Pie-in-the-sky, and
the rest was a shot in the dark, played with dance cards.

*She can seek help if she don't slur her words on camera that she is,
being tailed., f0x learned from Di' lawsuit--pass the buck.

Repubs are no angels in this with Trumy-Dumpy on a ticket and not a wall, the third possible gallops in time with withdrawals TBA.

They tried to impeach him, tried to jail him, tried to gag him, tried to kill him.

When you’ve got the Teamsters and Elon and The Hulk and all the Trump hulkamaniacs in your corner you know you’re the man!

Let’s hope no new wars start before the great man resumes his rightful place

Life's Stresses

LIFE’S STRESSES

Day and night the Tower of London is guarded
By a guy in a special suit, known as a beefeater.
Should an equal-opportunity female suit be for a beefeatress?
And a woman skilled at making clothing is a seamstress -
Should an equal-oppo man similarly skilled be a seamster??
After all we have a Union of Teamsters,
So are female membership cards for teamstresses?
Should I start to use the formal form of address
By calling my colleague at school a teacheress?
Should I not use the old joke about a mistress
Being something between a mister and a mattress?

Wall Street Hostages

Wailing in the city beyond bridge and bog
Austerity choking the dreams in cribs
Loans have dried up, at noon there is fog
Leverage everything, he pawns his ribs

She drinks and staggers to the new trade
Traditions fall apart by the will to live
Recession crawls and curls atop the spade
Economy everywhere has nothing to give
Except for the looters, fat and cool
Teamsters and workers are like barren mule

Heavy in debt, blind, blind the arguments
Owners of nothing no business can grow
Subtle the pipers anethestic of discontents
Thousands are homeless, pension like snow
Amassed and melted under paws of greed
Governments are impotent, bankers rule
Excess they blame on the workers in need
Suffering hides in shame, but dogs do drool.

Truth

T Truth reaching beyond the measure of mere fact
R Revelation embossed on the bible pages of the mind
U Understanding imposed through the flowering of wisdom
T The component which easily time travels through the sublime
H Here on earth we call it, soul’s honesty

T The breeze that blows the veil off the veiled
R Rejected often mistaken for a lie
U Utterly naked and bold
T The devil hides it disguised as pride
H Heavenly father reveals it with our humility and humbleness

Poetry Soup Anthem

“All poetry soup members stand for a moment of reverence and silence”

Au Soupe du jour our native site stands free
God bless our site in truth we trust in thee
Let’s stand on guard to wave and to salute
Let’s lift our hands for an inky photo shoot
Home of ambitious and amalgamated quills
Poetic birds of words soaring with free wills
Soaring through balmy winds unto thy haven
Grandstanding passions as our stately raven
Home of ambrosial souls emanating alacrity
We fill the site with fervid poem's electricity
United we ignite desire, poetically we aspire
With ink or quills that never grow old or tire
Our Lord is our entrance he bestows the light
Rejuvenates our quills & ink in the still of night
So when we awaken we quietly greet the day
With peace love light, in our own special way
Upon our blessed site shed your rays of love
Shed your blessings truest LOVE, from above.

Eighteen

Eighteen eighteen wheelers,
Circling my home,
Eighteen drivers
Eighteen helpers
Ready to trash my face

Seems we had a nasty
Highway race,
I went eighteen miles faster,
Never realizing,
It'd lead to my disaster

Eighteen angry pairs of teamsters,
Ready to kill me
What a nerve I had,
To speed by eighteen speeding truckers,
My future was looking bad.

I was hoping they'd run out of gas,
Or the cops would somehow show up,
Before eighteen sets of
Eighteen wheels,
Would make of me,
The first human road kill sup'.
