coffee
I had two much coffee
This morning
Three cups
Pure coffee
Not the usual heavily loaded cup
Part decafe part herbal tea
Concoction with turmeric,
cinnamon and nutmeg
My usual go-to cup of divine bliss,
I feel the jitteriness
The talkativeness
The beginning perhaps
Of a migraine attack,
I keep telling myself
My limit is two cups
Half decafe, half coffee
Half herbal tea mix,
More than that
I go up the highway
To incipient madness
And nightmares.
To haunt my dreams,
In short
I had just too much
coffee

I got up in the morning
because my mom yelled,
as she usually does……
Everyone was busy with their own work
That my mother had assigned…
When I entered the kitchen,
Mom said to me, “Don’t laugh too much.
You should be more polite today”…
She laughed loudly with her friends
while I was passing the kitchen…
Then I entered the living room and
Dad said to me, “Don’t talk too much.
You should be more careful today”.
My Dad hated talkativeness…
I felt my head a mere mayhem,
so I sneaked into my room.
Then my sister said to me,
“Be ready; Don’t think too much”.
But she is the one that thinks too much...
After I wore my saree, my little sister came
and applied some makeup soon..
Then she said, “You look beautiful”.
She always admires my beauty…
Finally, my brother and sister- in law
entered my room and said,
“Matchmaker won’t come today…
But don’t worry. We’re here to help you.
My soul sobbed, asking me,
“Is this the last time?”

Value
Stars are many
But jewels are very few.
Knowledge is everywhere.
But wisdom is seldom seen.
Lies are keys to hell.
But truth is life.
Hatred is fire
But love is breeze.
Talkativeness is just an artv
But whereas silence
Is beauty of the words.
Gold is wealth.
But it can't give you health.
What's real riches
Is not the wealth you gather.
It's rather how better you lived
In this short life
Which is gone sooner or later.

If I was an animal
What would I be?
My defining traits
are sarcasm
musicality
bright colors
The only animal
that comes to mind
is a bird
a parrot
for it's talkativeness
a canary
for it's beautiful voice
a peacock
for it's extravagant feathering
but no animal know
is as fidgety
moody
strangely uncomfortable
among it's fellows
as I am
So I suppose
being a bird
is best
for whenever
I feel awkward
and out of place
the bird in me
can always fly free
