Supermen Poems | Examples

Halloween Changed

A princess dressed up in lace with a crown
Cowboys, their toy guns in holsters abound
White painted faces dressed up like a clown
Supermen with their capes flying all ‘round
They travelled thru the streets without a care
Gathering treats from houses in a row
Trusting their neighbors, no harm to ensnare
Simpler times replaced, now nowhere to go
They must visit safe houses for their fun
Too dangerous to wander aimlessly
Safe treats must be approved by everyone
There’ll be no more malicious trickery.

When did a cute costume filled atmosphere
Become a disturbing night full of fear?

Hero From Stardust Station

how many years have we got
until there’s nothing left to sell
in this daydream of an insane lad?

all these changes, kooks and supermen
are sinking in a quicksand of Mars
while pretty things rise and fall

there’s a panic in the city
of rock’n’roll suicides,
rebels and diamond dogs
while golden years pass by
from station to station

now we are low on a speed of life
always crashing in this art decade
like heroes of the silent age

so how many creeps of modern love
in the labyrinth of scary fashion
will fall down with the world tonight?

when earthlings are the loneliest
and the stars are out for hours
the next day becomes a wide circle
where Lazarus waits
for Starman to come

*In memory of one of the biggest musicians and artists in the world, the great and only DAVID BOWIE.*

Tomorrow's Geniuses-My Lovely Children

Never thought children were tomorrow's geniuses;
'though they're still innocent, their behavior amuses!

There's an adorable child who is much smarter that I am;
he's talkative, vibrant and happy: a rare gleaming gem!

He loves firetrucks with long ladders and loud sirens...
when he'll grow up, he will be the best of firefighters!

He likes to be the center of attention: one must
drop everything and listen to him, or he'll protest!

Gianni is barely five and he really acts like young adults;
he ignores Christmas toys, he plays Star Wars games!

Technology is the force behind cellular phones and laptops;
this was unthinkable thirty years ago, their speed amazes!

This smart generation of kids are the Supermen of today...
perhaps they can't fly among skyscrapers, but they'll try!

Isn't Gianni one of them? Spend a day with him...
running and rolling on the carpet, you'll stay slim!

Hitlers Albatross

Supermen in death machines,
\were driven off,
hot lead was seen,
 twas Hitler's Albatross.
the Nazis so obscene,
clawed from the skies the cost,
Brave men in Spitfires lost,
won Battle of Britian scene,
 ammo.303 ran hot,
awesome warriors oh so lean!

Hardship Is a Blessing Not a Curse

The Gods in the skies of the stars do
dwell and live.
They see our sad tears and
heartbreaks sown on cliffs.
Who truly does know their severe
regiment
Which makes this small race into
true supermen?

Hardships are blessings that excel
mankind.
Forged were not swords without the
forges' fire.
No boat was built without mighty
trees cut down.
No child was born without labour to
new life.
Won were not wars without our
soldiers shot down.

Why curse the Gods for their
greatest endowment
To mankind , his godhood through
the gates of hell?

Exploding Windmills

Exploding Windmills

So fragile in its equestrian gait
The tippy toe of stealth
Loves to tread so softly
Behind
In tennis shoes
With velvet claws

Dreamers are destroyed
By fact

These prison smiles
With tiles of teeth
Deride the childish fantasy
Bludgeon at un-illuminated reality
Just to dangle their mechanical
Bag of tricks

Dreamers are destroyed
By fact

Stuff of nonsense
Imagery of bright eyes
Of painted books
And scribbled brush strokes
Pillow fairy tales
And windmills

Dreamers are destroyed
By fact

Sweet girly dresses
And boyish supermen
Plastic sunglasses broken
In the enthusiasm
Of slapping back in
To

The bright day too hot
To consider enchanting
Too fastidiously busy
To stop marketing
Disconsolate in its attitude
To pay attention to a giggle

Dreamers are destroyed
By fact
