Freshly awake from feeling trapped in a dream
I drink Sleepytime tea in the dark and
Read an article perfectly summarizing the modern world of
Cluster B personality disorders - the underlying psychopathology
Now overtly on display in a world gone mad
It hits the proverbial nail on the head
But maybe that's the problem
I don't want to be a nail, nor even a needle
I want to be just fingers tying
Knots on a loom
Like in the old days around the fire
As stories and tall tales of Gods and Giants swirl
And so like everyone else
Stick my hammered, needled, knotted head
Deep in the proverbial sand

Whether literal or proverbial,
If you are looking for the devil;
Although I can't imagine why you
would want to. But if for any reason
you may desire to seek an audience with him,
there is a place where you are likely to find him.
I do not think or suppose that he is hiding, but I
am certain that he loves to be in disguise. He is the
master of deception and loves to deceive. In fact,
deception is his greatest, if not the only weapon,
because he has been scripted of all other weaponry.
So, if you are a cover story kind of person, or one
who's prone to summarizing, or a general reader
of life and never bothers with the fine print, you just
might miss recognizing the devil, because he is usually
to be found in the details of life. We had best check the details.

Sylvia stays sedentary still seeking superiority
Sometimes summarizing situations so subtilely*,
Suddenly somnambulistic, she slips silently
Sensing some sarcastic silliness, soon senility.
*alternate, archaic spelling for “subtly.”

Fluttery eyes
Shallow deep breathe
Darkness bedding
Midnight nighttime
Passions end marveled lonely quench
Thought of sunset
Flung temporary
Evening never skying
Sun is falling out of view
Stepped a night-vision skyline
Where’s the sun going
Don’t GO
Sleepy tho!
And the dark never investigating
Fluttery eyes
Shallow deep breathe
Darkness bedding
Midnight nighttime
An d the dark never investigating
Don’t GO
Sleepy tho!
The silent sky summarizing
I crave the silent, somnolence skies
I heard a daytime, moonlit stroking
The temporary test timing
I crave the slumber less, suspense sunset
Horizontal yawning
Skies falling
upon a midnight nighttime
Deep into that darkness reviewing
The stroboscopic sleep scrutinizing
Deep into that darkness evaluating
I threw my celestial equator upon the floor
Deep into that darkness gauging more
where has the light gone
Time for sleep as the moon says you jest
I guess
Must be twilight NO, just
Sunset

I am better at summing up dress code
Than at summarizing
The book that I missed three chapters of
Because my skirt was too short
Heck, I never even learned
How to summarize books
Because that was the day
The week
The entire unit
That I missed because
I was in the office
I timidly walk to the teachers desk
Like a mouse approaching a bear
To ask why I got an F
On the last assignment
But I know why
I got the F
It was because I missed
Half the things the questions covered
I am not asking why I got the F
I'm asking how to fix it
And I mean how to actually fix it
Not to change my wardrobe

The puzzle is puzzling me
the eyes tell hidden stories
this is a real life so puzzling
first look confuses gender
second sight reveals a puzzle
but she is not partly human
body is whole baked cake
lips ice-cream container
milk calabashes sitting there
somewhere lies hot chocolate
forbidden and puzzling reality
the issue summarizing her
but the other part is human
cool, calm and puzzling any way
but full of love and desire
one has to guess what it is
with a rush you tumble over
and you miss forever the puzzle
which man of clay be puzzled?
which man with a case sees not
that she is the issue between
Puzzling chocolate, ice-cream, cake
Chocoholics yearn to bite cake
for that part of you non-human
Excuse me madam the puzzler
do not punish me any longer
let your fire switch of my puzzle
That both of us can rest in chaos
Puzzling others without ado with
The issue between

As we walk outside the
city opens its' arms to us
A friendly crossing guard
signals to cross the
intersection safely
At the bus stop a woman
holds her son's hand
As I walk towards work
I notice the warmth of the air
Spring has finally arrived in the
city!
Scores of students
walk towards the community college
where I work
After stopping off for a scone
and some green tea
I work with students
on their English grammar
and summarizing
All around me are those
who want to learn and improve their lives
The city has opened its' arms
to these new immigrants
who are hardworking
and an asset to our land

my foundation was flooded
armour broken
but soul refused to give up
I'm wearing this soul like beggar his worn out shoes
Would you love me?
they took my hands
they took my legs
my face is stolen
I won't do anything like other kids do
Why would you love me?
summarizing the silence
have to find poker face
sick and tired at playing the role of someone else's mistakes
I'm climbing those stairs against all odds
if I promise you'll never see how I break to the pieces
Will you still love me?

The pseudo alacrity that he is callow,
Lacking emotions, maturity shallow,
Ignorance ammassed, adulthood fallow,
When summarizing vices, all but hallow!
Writing about the footprints of Marriage,
The opposite sexes' ultimate courage,
Bestowed hatred, ransacked heritage,
Frankness kicked for a conventional adage!
Writing boldly about the bold profession,
Of the vexed fair sex, the last option,
Me, shooed away in the biased election,
'Remain in your limits', the unanimous admonition!
Describing the instincts of a teen,
His wild thoughts, crave obscene,
'Too young to know', advice harsh and mean,
Empathy, curiosity, the unvalued beings!
Generation of young writers, ought to be recognized,
Share of the wrinkles, not to be aggrandized,
Opposing the latter has never been our prize,
Judge us by candidness, a feeling of Paradise!
