It was the sound of thunder,
It is the sound of Spring,
Storms spoiling April showers,
Their friendly gesture to bring.
Beach bare shoulders
Too soon, postponed,
Hopes of love erased by
A single cell phone.
Patience is so hard
This deceiving time of year,
But long hot summer is coming,
Don’t you dare fear.
There will be time enough for bikinis,
Time enough to burn,
Time enough to hope for Fall.
Another year of romance spurned.
I have never been a big fan of society living.
It has always been a world I'm not comfortable in.
Alone in the wilderness close to nature is my heaven,
I live in society for only one reason, only one.
I am kept here by the strong bond I feel for my loved ones.
One day however I see myself going mentally undone,
when I just can't take anymore society living.
That's when I'll go on one of my survival excursion vacations,
and venture off into some very remote wilderness region,
living only off the land, my only way for surviving.
If I don't return don't assume that the worse has happened to me,
such as a serious injury that led to my fatality.
Chances are I decided not to return most likely,
and live my remaining years absolutely free from society,
in a world that has always successfully made me feel happy.
This is how I see Billy TheKidster's end for everybody,
but he'll live on as a legend possibly,
with many a wilderness Billy TheKidster story.
His near death encounter with a grizzly bear,
the wolf pack he befriended and grew to love and care.
Creative writers will mix truth with total fabrication,
and "Wild Bill" BILLYtheKidster will live on a legend.
I rarely watch a TV show
The first time that it airs.
With On-Demand and TiVo,
If I catch it late – who cares?
But sometimes there’s a lot of hype,
Like when a season ends,
And then it’s hard to block the news
From articles or friends.
So “Homeland’s” big finale,
Which was several weeks ago,
Remained to me a secret
(Don’t read more if you don’t know).
I guess I should have figured,
Just by following the thread,
That there’d be no happy ending
But my goodness – Brody’s dead!
I suppose I am the last to learn
This news that others had;
Still, I haven’t even started
Season One of “Breaking Bad!”

and you're mad at me

before the joke was over
