Just a bit of fun
Slowly does it nan says
No speeding dad says
But that leaf looks delictable
My god my slim is defectable,
I'm salivating all over the place
It'll take me forever at this pace,
That's it I can't wait super snail speed
Did it in only 3 days flat to this leafy weed
Who says slow and steady always wins the race,
I'm a speed demon, took clive 5 I rest my case!
He was also pretty bereft
That there was only really stalk left.

it
slips
out of
our tight grasp
and flees; a sprinter
much too fast to catch and pin down;
always running, an impatient speed demon called TIME.
LOVE, on the other hand, chooses to wait. And unlike time, it's never an enemy!

I'm a bird of prey creme de la creme.
On air, I'm like a heat-seeking missile,
a kamikaze airplane swooping down
on prey with lethal precision.
My large eyes, as sharp as an Eagle's.
Tell the Eagle I said so!
I can also spot and zero-in on a prey
from thousands of feet high!
I'm a solitary speed demon of a bird.
Don't even think Cheetah; I'm so fast
that cat moves like a tortoise to me.
Land or air, I am indeed the fastest
animal on the face of the planet.
Pardon my vaingloriousness!
Did I mention I'm a cannibal, too?
Yes, I feed on other birds.
I'm often called the "duck hawk"
because...well, I enjoy duck meat!
I sexually mature at the age of three.
I typically breed from March to May.
I don't build my own nests, I simply use
existing vegetation to lay my eggs.
There's incredible power in my sturdy wings
An indefatigable traveler, I get around
the world, spotted in every continent!
I'll repeat, in case you've already forgotten...
I'm the fastest living thing alive.
Tell the Cheetah I said so!

Turning wheels and big bangs and theories
Catcalls in the alley turn into bursts of signal strength
Stretching all the way to the great beyond
Why do some still feel like we don't belong?
While thoughts are churning
The wagon wheels are turning
And the silhouette keeps on yelling
Faster. I said faster
As if the screams are falling
And falling on deaf ears
Back to the countdown, it's been years
The deacon behind the wheel
A man of serious purpose
With a face made of laughter
Screams just like the deacon would
Faster. I said faster
The Beamer's tires screech and turn
Mean machine. Possessed by the deacon
He is such a speed demon
Demanding and commanding speed
Faster. I said faster
And from fellow travelers
Inside the ferocious carriage
No comment or modicum of courage
Only a tightening of muscles
And laughter. Nervous laughter
As the wheels turn, faster and faster
They will hang on, and ask questions after

I sipped on a hard drink
It made my senses sink
I was trying to drown my troubles
But with every sip I found new levels
I called out for the tab
To keep the count, not to bolt the pub
But I saw my own life on the bill
I saw my heirs scripted on my will
I saw death crouching for the car key
A speed demon up for the thrill
When I saw life smiling at me in a taxi
I decided keep my hands off the wheel

I run like a leopard through long grass
Travelling at top speed, no one can stop me
As if I am chasing my prey
I am speeding through many places
As if I am participating in races
I am just a blur as I pass you
You are just colour blurs in my visionary periphery
My muscles stretched to the limits
And my sinews start to burn
My feet are on fire as I manifest and transcend
Into neutrino speed
Faster than sound
Faster than light
Head down back straight
Legs pumping like pistons
And behind me just a fiery dust
And an inconsequential past
In front of me is an unknown entity
But now in this moment I travel
At lightening speed, feeling free
Living the dream as nothing gets in the way of me
As speeding bullet I flash in this present time
With nothing else in my mind but speed
And feeling the ground beneath my feet
And I get the sensation of being free.

I'm writing this letter to say good-bye.
I'll admit this isn't easy for me, as you were my first love.
We've been together nearly every day for 33 years, and I
barely remember life without you.
When we were together I was able to forget my problems
and all my fears seemed to disappear. But so did my morals,
feelings and any self worth I ever had.
My depression was gone with your presence and you put a
smile on my face not even death could erase. We've seen
many die before us and you said, " Never look back " and
I didn't, until now.
I've had some of my best conversations with you, and words
just seemed to flow out of my mouth. You weren't cheap but
my love ran deep. I did anything for you, I lied, I stole, and
I cheated. Without you I couldn't move.
The more I gave, the more you took. You wanted my daughter,
my soul, my life, but I can't allow that.
So now I'm taking it all back and I'm moving on ...
Without you.
Go back to Hell Speed Demon, you are dead to me.
Forever.

I wake up some mornings - close to the crack of dawn.
Why does there seem to always be way too much for me to do?
Running my errands, like a speed demon - I race through town.
This day is almost over and I am exceptionally glad!
Drinking gallons of coffee, stifling down a yawn.
The relaxation and fun times seem to be rare and few.
It's really a wonder I manage to keep any food down!
When I collapse into my bed atleast I won't be mad.
Atleast I have no children - so that much to me is good.
I need to have a time out and go see my best friend.
I can't remember the last time I had a soothing bath.
I'm really hoping that tomorrow will be a better day.
Now to make this day turn out the way it should.
But the responsibilities and housework never seems to end!
Who can I vent to - to get rid of all this wrath?
That I can really have some fun and remember how to play!
To make sense of the chaos - read line 1 of every paragraph, then 2, 3, & 4.

When your best friends
Wear lab coats
And carry instruments
The steal smiles
And steam the meaningful
stains
Out of your soul,
(The little imperfections
In all of us that
Help sculpt and mold
Our images)
Remaining self-aware for
Self-awareness’ sake
Becomes potentially problematic.
Floating above reason with
A touch of lethargy
Maximizes self-control
But detracts from
Fundamental choice.
Insomnia limited to
Social norms
Slashes and burns
A one-way path to
Narcoleptic days
And where have the
Weeks gone?
Seasons move like
Speed-demon racecars,
Their tornado tailwinds
Blowing up skirts as they pass.
The looks I draw would
Tarnish steel,
Heavy and demeaning;
With an arrogant smile,
I brush off my shoulder
And look through
The wormhole.

Spedding down the straight away as i make my way around
The wind is blowing by, drowning out all the sounds.
The rubber on the pavement soothing my grief.
The pulse of my cylinders handing me releif.
Lights, stripes, and people beoming a blurr.
The line of victory not much further
The horses gallop all the faster.
It could pay off or end in disaster.
But either way i will go down in history.
As the worlds fastest man or the biggest fatality.

He was a little red furred devil
Into this, into that
He was a little red ball of fun
Into this, into that
He was a tiny red speed demon
Bouncing ball, spinning twister
The felines loved my little demon
Swift four-legged creature
The K-9’s did not comprehend my little devil
Taunting little musical laughter
He died of a broken heart
Bouncing ball, spinning twister
He tried to fly but Herbie had no wings
Falling down, crashing down
Herbie the hamster will be sadly missed
Swift red furred little creature
Today momma’s buying a little red furred devil
Herbie ΙΙ shall spin again
Bouncing ball, spinning twister
Swift red furred little creature
