anticipated Albany albatrosses
buried bumpy bugs beyond the bay
creepy curious cats dug them up
dinner for dogs they said in disgust
even the dogs turned up their snouts at the bugs
frenzied finicky felines are crazy they barked
giant crows arrived and devoured the gruesome bugs
helping themselves to six or eight at a time
I am glad these raptors showed up said the dogs
jealousy in no way entering their heads
kilt-wearing albatrosses happened along
lingering close to where their bug stash used to be
mad now, they marched menacing around the meadow
no need to be upset, the bugs escaped, lied the dogs
opportunity to be peacemakers always taken by pups
pacifists and problem solvers
quails and quackers put their six cents in
raising the ire of the miffed albatrosses
sixteen sparrows sauntered in to stir things up too
they had heard there was a show-down
ugly words were tweeted and chirped
verbs and vowels best not repeated here
wrens and warblers were shooed off by the fray
‘xact ‘xchange never ‘xamined or journaled
you are lucky you escaped this melee
zealous birds can become dangerously ugly.

The Thing about AI

Artificial intelligence
  created simply, because we can
  to easily, lazily, complete tasks we plan,
    and ones perhaps, we cannot do on our own.
No incentive now
  to pursue knowledge or grow
  no need for humanity to learn or know
    how we are succumbing to boredom flow.
Now, all our bridges can be burned
  our very words to be reinterpreted and reformed
  disconnecting any or all need
    passage of learning to our progeny.
Machinery, rote computerized mind thinking
  solvers of the cosmos blinking
  as all living entities are seized
    to impregnation of the mind's slow disease.
Already most are lost to creative goals
  incapable of educating hearts and souls
  more dependent every day of the powers that be
    making every decision for you and me.
today, yesterday, tomorrow an artificial intelligence sea
   will rewrite our history
   with little need of any input or discovery
     from you or you or me.

Idanre's Ancient Charm

I venture forth, an explorer true,
Seeking knowledge, with heart anew.
Idanre's hills, a treasure to behold,
Ancient secrets, yet to be unfold.

The people, industrious, with hearts of gold,
Welcomed me, with stories untold.
Their cocoa farms, a lush, green sight,
I harvested with them, under the sun's warm light.

Their water, a natural blessing, pure and fine,
Quenched my thirst, and revived my mind.
A healing spring, with powers to restore,
A gift from God, forever in store.

Idanre's hills, a tourist's delight,
A haven for nature, in all its might.
Longevity and prosperity, God's blessings true,
Reflect in the people, with hearts anew.

Their men and women, handsome, beautiful, and strong,
Beholders of beauty, with hearts that belong.
Producers, problem solvers, with a spirit so bright,
United in ceremony, with love and delight.

The year of the Problem Solvers is overdue

The time is now for solving problems we have let accrue,
The time is now for something old but new,
The time is now for an end to making us stew,
The time is now for something out of the blue,
The time is now for solving a problem or two,
The time is now for showing what we can do,
The time is now for getting out the glue.

The time to problem solve is now,
The time to problem solve is now,
While we still know how,
While we still have time to avoid a fatal blow.,
While we still have have time to mars to go,
If there are too many problems to go around,
If there are are not enough problem solvers' above ground.

Swamp Critters
Problem Solvers Or Nut’s?
Miracle Man
2/1/2024

America’s problems, mortal man can’t solve,
and elected officials seem to watch time evolve.
Things of importance to them, they negotiate,
much of which the average person can’t relate.

“For the good of the American people” is a pet line,
they’re paid big bucks just to argue and whine.
They seldom agree so they’re swift to impeach,
later praising self, in some meaningless speech.

Political parties have become one giant wedge,
each telling a story that’s seldom as they allege.
Our current border problems they are ignoring,
perhaps that’s the reason I hear loud snoring.
A swamp filled with critters that hiss and spew,
but In congress what they say, we’re forced to do.

Puzzle

Conundrum solvers, puzzle be
Here within the text you see,
Eye two secret missives penned
Crypticwise – responses send

Keek the type, inside lines look,
Thus hidden I’ve words. I took
Wild liberties wit’ my count,
On th’ meter…errors mine will mount.

Let be thrown ‘fore swine words not,
Everyone might try – code’s sought
Through the twist’d poem writ down.
Try first it’s “pithy” mood (nice noun).

Endure should you th’entire note –
Revisiting the “lines” I wrote
So find you might directives mine
Before puzzle hour’s finish line.

Enough conundrum, let us rest.
Forsooth we might pursue this quest
Over “mounds” or over hills. ‘Tis best

Retired, this my rhymed write.
Even though the time is quite
Perfect for to bid good nite,

Unreported – thing one more
Not mentioned it heretofore:
Could you missing thing look for

God Is a Poet

GOD IS A POET

God is a Poet…
So are you.
Let there be light!
And there was light.

Now bone of my bones,
Flesh of my flesh
Shall be called a woman taken out of man.

How clearly the sky reveals God's glory
How plainly it shows what he has done.
I wish I had died in my mother's womb,
Or died the moment I was born.

Better to eat a dry crust of bread with peace of mind…
Than to have a banquet in house full of trouble.
You are like a light for the whole world
A city build on hill cannot be hidden,

So we have made man in our image
After our likeness.
God is a poet…
So are you.

Poets are puzzle solvers…
Poets are solutions providers.
God is a Poet…
So are you.

Has She Become

Every time watching the news broadcast,
when hears something sad, she felt aghast.
Negative issues made her upset;
She's highly sensitive, feels distress.
She has ability to sense what
people around are feeling somewhat.
Absorbs others' emotions, attuned
to peoples' moods, feel pain of their wound;
As if it's her own she is a great
listeners, trouble-solvers; but hate
she can't tolerate, feels dejected,
distance herself, not be affected
by negativity. Wants to be
surrounded by good people with free
positive energy, no more wrath;

Has she become truly an empath?

Premium MemberOn Ageing-As Aging Growing Old-

As ageing growing old;
It turns out, most grumpy stale people used to be grumpy young people;
This I believe it is so;
Ageing doesn’t turn a cheerful person into a grouch;
Now that I’m older I need to go get and off this couch;
The birth we’re born then we were young this is the prequel;
As ageing growing archaic elders then not treated as equals;
We are sounder problem-solvers;
And can sooner quickly draw the message from an argument;
Neither am I poor nor destitute but now I’m on a fix budget:
As ageing growing old;
Being comfortable a must and not being stylish anymore;
A sense of urgency comes with ageing, I know who I am;
And to whom I AM PRAYING;
Do you, hear what I’m saying;
The nice thing about getting older is you have seen it all, lived it all, felt it all;
As ageing growing old yes! We all see it all, live it all, feel it all;
(if we don’t die before we’re 45)
As ageing grows old, I sigh;
As I remember what my grandparents had said why...
As ageing growing old OH! my;

The Mystery of Angels

The mystery about angels grows.
Beautiful pictures in the abbey
Do they haves wings, long gowns, and halos?
To see, what is the heavenly key?

Are angels celestial beings sent?
Seeing them these days is very rare.
Do they help people like you and me?
Believe; angels are everywhere.

With faith, the day you see them will come.
They are often hidden from plain view.
They may not come with trumpet and drum.
And go unseen by eyes, with no clue.

Celestial meetings may seem odd.
People may even say you are nuts!
They might even call you a nimrod.
Or say, “Much wine was in your goblet.”

Stop! And in quietness look around.
Feel the peace when the presence draws near.
That instant sees faithfulness abound.
Then, problem solvers enter life’s sphere.

God sent angels are loving and helpful.
Some are Heavenly; some are human.
They show no greed; they are not boastful.
They will stay until the job is done.

If you have an altruistic heart,
Help after praying with fervor.
Good deeds for others become your art.
Mystery solved; look in your mirror.

Premium MemberLesson In Finesse

I am going to teach you a lesson
A lesson in finesse
What? Coming from me, it will be the first
But I'll give it to ya
First, don't answer a question with a question
That - I do that a lot
Think you do too
It's human nature
Where did you go today?
Why do you want to know?
Did you do that?
I wonder who did it
Now when it comes to problem solvers
Take it from me
I am the pro at it
First see where the problem is
And go straight to the source
Distinguish it
Put water on it
What? Yeah - cool - my friend
Douse yourself with some cold water
You'll get a clear head
Unless the problem is yourself
Then I cannot help you there
You'll handle it on your own
Thus you be
Another pointer - always point it out
Yeah - who doesn't want to know?
Tell the truth, my friend
You'll make some friends and a few enemies
You'll learn to talk plainly and truthfully
Which the bottom line is better for everyone
Who asks you anyway?
That's it
That's my lesson in finesses
Come join us tomorrow
As there will be a few chairs here
Waiting for you
Hear?
