Who knows maybe now the world has gone a longer
distance if not tis old agey and nodding
sometimes except halloween hear and join the children
chick and chack?, laugh at the solicitations, drink fanta,
thus it may say sometimes is the end or still tis nothing
because it will not wait for any of us nor imbalance
let say the ho - hu - ha
or because tis love for love's sake and toad for toad's
sake or something.
Whichever it may pretend or born in mystery or wonder?.

Aromatic sweet fragrance permeates our air
In eminence of your fragile Jasmine flowers
As lovingly you engage slender ruby buds
Tending to green foliage in softest of whispers
In verses of your heart, meant for me to hear;
Guiding my sight higher to mysterious universe
As glowing night-sky unveils celestial theater
Where twinkling exuberant stars brilliantly glitter
Arousing amorous stares breathing in unison
Standing cheek to cheek, conversing with Venus;
Extolling seductively passionate secret dreams
Unfolding revelry in doting pregnant themes
Welcoming salutations--yearning for much more
Exhilarated by amour of dulcet solicitations
Deciphering inference of romantic metaphors;
Embracing each other in zealous anticipation--
Sensuous thoughts drifting into night's allure
Enticed by lure of every flirtatious rhythmic pulse
Eager to explore melodies of moonlit affections
As mating song of nightingale serenades our love.

People whose philosophical ways
are contrary to the teachings of God,
will get no respect from me,
they'll get no polite nod
I reject their solicitations for comraderie,
they get no handshakes from me
Practitioners of dark iniquities
deserve only heaps of scorn and mockery
Lovers of lasciviousness,
regaling in feasts of riotous days
Foaming out their shame for all to see,
no, they'll get no respect from me
I will not bow,
I will not bend knee,
though they be proclaimed as
intellectual royalty
I eschew their wicked ways,
place no worth on their evil words
Let the worms of their reproach
be fed to the carrion birds
As death do flow from their breath,
and empties into an unlit nether place ...
The only respect that should be given
to a walking dead man,
is the grave greeting him with a silent embrace

no time to snooze --------- some peace and quiet
the morning news --------- good eats--no diet
rush hour traffic --------- an awesome book
ads pornographic --------- a shady brook
media frenzy --------- a time to nap
jealous envy --------- a purring cat
solicitations --------- a mountain top
wars of nations --------- the sound of Bach

time
away
from
the everyday

Stay elusive shade
of my beloved
I wish to caress
the rounded hills
of your form...
My hands seek
the fertile valleys
entangled in gentle branches
green and cool
that are you...
You, silent giver
of secret worlds
sweet love of non-illusion
hands of tender leaves...
With obedience of steel
my heart follows your attraction
why lure me with solicitations
only to vanish and depart?
Lay with me
upon bed of sailing ship
unclasp and unzip revealing such beauty
close your eyes and hear my moans
embrace being fully human...
Share my bed
tyranny triumphs over pain
lay next to me in praise of my bed
until the early morning light
brings fresh blues and friendly reds...

Professionals Resort to Advertising
By Elton Camp
There was a day when it wasn’t thought wise
That any professional person should advertise
Solicitations were never seen
Lest the professional it demean
So unseemly it then did appear
“Come get your operation here.”
“Let me handle your trial for you.
For no other lawyer as well will do.”
“Come to me to pull your tooth.
I am so skilled, it is the truth.”
But those ideas are no longer so,
They having changed years ago
On billboards, doctors now appear
Lawyers, to boast, no longer fear
A doctor’s advertisement may say
“If I kill you, you don’t have to pay”
“I’ll win your case, sure as can be
If not, then my law service is free.”
I wouldn’t be shocked on any day to see
A professor’s, “Get your credits with me.”

Why I Don’t Give to Most Charities
By Elton Camp
Solicitations to make donations I usually decline
It may be your favorite charity, but it isn’t mine
And when the request for money comes by phone
Whether or not it is legitimate cannot be known
And for the solicitor standing outside of Wal-Mart
I come there to save, so with my money won’t part
To the universities where I earned degrees before
I used to contribute, but decided to do it no more
Because every year they insist my gift should increase
Their letters and late evening phone calls never cease
What about my being retired do they fail to understand
I live comfortably, but no longer have extra in my hand
Many causes are just as worthy as they possibly can be
But if I give, they then must sell my name to two or three
Dare to give a charity a donation and it sets them aflame
It’s as if, to my money, they now think they have a claim
Charitable giving is, from now on, going to be my call alone
To those who ask, it is “No” whether by mail or on the phone

Once again...I open up my mailbox...and peek inside.
In the mailbox, I look with hopeful expectation
By the possibility of a greeting or a salutation....
With the realization and disappointing frustration
Of the discovery, there are only bills,... junk mail,..and annoying solicitations!!
