Oh Winter

We have the right of living,
and to speak, to stand in line and ryhme.
we all have what we believe in
about creatures, nature and time.

trees and plants grow in is season,
river, mountain, stars and moon show us the sign.
we are naives, even though the cloud tells us the meaning
that winter was drawing nigh.

we prepared for this season for a reason,
because we knew it comes between autumn/fall and spring.
every house can be cold and chilling
mama where's my jacket and socks we all sing.

oh winter oh winter.
your memory will never lost in our brain,
the winter sport is always enliven
ice hockey, snowboarding and ski sprint.

Impromptu

snowboarding
i prefer
snowballing

wrap another
coat to warm
her frigid form

goddess and god
we created in one
day two

snow people
her me
and me her

Premium MemberImagine On a Winter's Day

Imagine swinging in a hammock on a winter's day
If you're bundled up enough, it may be ok?
If you're in the arms of another, maybe even great!
If you haven't tried...well, it's not too late
Swinging above the land all covered white
Under the pines, swaying on like a kite
Swinging peacefully together, hand in hand
Hey, even if you fall out, a soft place to land! :)
So, who says hammocks are only for summer?
There's skiing and snowboarding? No hammock? A bummer!

Snow

It had been my dream since long go
I was so happy I could go
for the first time get to see snow
I thought it would freeze my toe
I looked around, above and below
mesmerized by the white floe
appreciating the milky show
feeling the frosty wind to blow
walking excitedly, carefully and slow
how my heart was, no one could know
I went so crazy, walking to and fro
I didn't like skiing though
just the landscape and its shining glow
I went sledding many times in a row
A bunch of snowballs was nice to throw
A snowman by me was able to grow
I went snowboarding following the flow
and left that place with a sense of woe
If I will ever go back, I trow!

They sent Jamal to detention
for saying "********"
yet he saw a billboard of the "KKK
with the president"

Maria cried when Emily told her
"If you say "f*** again, we won’t be friends"
but Maria heard that "they’re building a wall on CNN"

When Mohamed told Jenny, you have a "big a**"
She practiced her jujitsu and punched him in the face
While eating halal meat for dinner he heard,
"We’re banning people of the Muslim faith"

Danielle sat on the sidelines during the soccer finals
She was red-carded for saying "you’re sh**" to their rivals
but in Time Magazine she read,
"In Mississippi they’re refusing service to homosexuals"

Ahusaka was in his room today
tweeting to his followers about the super bowl
He didn’t go snowboarding
He called John a "mofo"
Ding, a notification on Ahusaka’s phone
from the Chicago Tribune
"The new administration is pushing through,
the pipeline under Standing Rock Sioux"

Jamal, Maria, Mohamed, Danielle and Ahusaka
paid their dues
but who's held accountable for "the silen* cur** wor** of the mighty few"

Snowboarding

Do you
ever feel!?
Upside down
sideways
and bent
backwards?
Snowboarding
down slopes
of discontent
challenging
and
dangerous
With
temperatures
on the
flip side
of minus
 forty degrees
hellbent
 and
freezer burned
pleading
Traversing
the
powdery deeps
With
a slope of
snow rattling
your
bending knees
Freestyle
jumping
turning atop
breezes
while
twisting inside
Thinking
what a ride
While
 in flight
then
 flipping upright
while praying
to land
on a dime
with no
broken bones
in a
Wipeout
Just the
 shattered
 nerves
of an
athletes time
in their
moment
of
free styling
just shining
and stopping
on that
dime
amidst
the
mounting
snow of
Time

Purgatory Prayer

Getting high like cocaine
as i fly higher then your rogaine;
wishing i was snowboarding
not falling outta college.
When i die, lord may i touch the sky
and get smashed by a meteorite.
Bright like fireworks delight,
slope side friday night lights,
Cliff drops down crater runs, having fun;
praising Allah for five hundred or so
extra vertical, name it mount heavenly.
My ghost will call it mount purgatory;
invites for eternity; who's joining me?
