Premium MemberTaking Cats on Vacation

Sue wanted her cats to see Italy, Paris and London too
Wished to smuggle them in suitcases, but they both mew.
You could hitchhike from country to country, someone suggested.
His idea was a horrible idea, rides were few, bad ones manifested.

They spent time in back of pickups with cows, goats and mice.
Or in cages upon car tops, which did not feel very nice.
The next time, I might have to leave you at home, said Sue.
They were appreciative and gave her their most appreciative mew.

Poetry II

If poetry channels our anger and sorrow
Who then will want to write it tomorrow
And will joy and contentment stifle its future?
And what will become of our stays and culture?

I say poetry has been victimized
Vilified, chastised, castigated and ostracized
Only perceived as a tool for struggle
Truths coded for smuggle

Yet poetry is just song void of tune
From the same rock hewn
For the lyrics that ride on the harmonies
Are sponsored by poetic abilities

Only poetry captures life’s odysseys
In whose form is crafted psalms and prophecies
If you want to know an expanse exceeding now
Poetry is the where and the how

Poetry in its recitation
May not cause rhythm and gyration
Care free melodies and chimes
That people seek in easy times

Until hard times force the weaning
Where people gain taste for meaning
A complementary aid for soul searching
To set the conscience forwardly marching

If poetry must fail in the market
Then it proves not to aim for your pocket
But a stinging dart to awaken your souls
When woes and lows purge all else from their roles

The Crowd

Sometimes it is necessary to smuggle yourself
into a crowd, imagine you are incognito,
just a stranger within an invisible cloak
stitched together with cobwebs.

Often it is imperative to lever one's self
into the crowd with a flat-headed screwdriver,
crack open a little space for yourself
while not disturbing the talkers
as they read about you in the papers.

Once in a while, you must slip
into the crowd like an eel,
wriggle through them all
before they notice you are there
then disappear from yourself
before you have found that self.

The crowd will not miss you,
but they will look for you
if you run too fast or walk too slow.

The Law
Miracle Man
October 6, 2023

It’s black and white, there should be no gray,
illegals come seeking amnesty all would say.
They broke our laws in the manner they came,
now they’re here, & many are doing the same.

Each a firm believer in the land of the free,
from socialist countries most chose to flee.
But each one brought old homeland ways,
some smuggle drugs because that’s what pays.

Everything required bears some expense,
but from illegals there’s no recompense.
Selfish and desperate our laws they spurn,
betraying our trust, not waiting their turn.

“Generally, It’s easier to pass a law than to enforce it”.

snuggled in a bunk
with the sun glistening in~
soothed with Summer fun

slight melting ice cream
from a massive sugar dome~
It's fun to be mean

but eat your clobbers
smuggle back in the hamper~
In the zephyr wind

Premium MemberIn Mexico

As another refugee dies
camped along America's southern border
a poor family seeks law and order
In Mexico
(In Mexico)
And the family cries.
They didn't expect to find hatred here
it's another burden that adds to their fear
In Mexico
(In Mexico)
People, don't you understand
these people need a helping hand
or they'll grow to hate America someday
Take a look at who they are
can't you see they've traveled far?
Do we simply turn our backs
and send them on their way.
Well, the world turns
And Latino families with little food or clothes
are stopped at the border, where the hot wind blows
In Mexico
(In Mexico)
And their anger burns
So they start to climb the fence at night
they learn how to sneak
and they learn how to fight
In Mexico
(In Mexico)
Then one night, in desperation
they pay coyotes to smuggle them away
hiding in the trunk of a car
afraid of being caught crossing the Rio Grande
by an ice patrolman with a gun in his hand
But they don't get far
And the family cries
In Mexico
(In Mexico)
And as their dream dies
(In Mexico)
Camped along America's southern border
another poor family seeks law and order
In Mexico
(In Mexico)

Red Herring

What is 222 and 333?
Do you smuggle drugs?
Are you underworld don?
Do you use multiple numbers?
Do you have friends in NWFP?
Do you have several accounts?
Who is Supari according to you?
Do you have strong ties with ANF?
What kind of business do you run?
Do you deal in arms & ammunition?
What is the definition of a gangster?
Are you well connected with Politicians?
Are you backed by intelligence officials?

A Smuggler Speaks

Enough of a struggle,
When we banned goods smuggle
To against riches snuggle
And soon sound The Bugle

Enough of struggle:
Lots of body wriggle
For Danes’ Illicit Gin
That would lots of lips win:
South Africa Necklace
In Gold dressed like a lace…

In my mind a rifle
But its mention stifle:
Brushes with The Customs
Seizing people’s bottoms;
Curses of their custom
Of sparing not An Atom...

Ahead kicking kidneys
To down force one on knees
My birthday with whole chicken

Today is exactly The Day
I said I must find my way
Out of a Taxed Uterus,
With odds getting numerous:
Fifty-Two not Twenty-Five
Splendid to be still alive!

A Uterus that saw Hell,
When I started sounding my bell;
Doctor sure ‘The Post-Mature’
Now responding to Nature

A Most Terrible Bleeding,
Even as she kept pleading,
The time: Night’s 11: 15
Of A Rainy June 15
And I heard: staying at church
While Nigerian Bombs did search…

In Poetry, too, A Fighter…

To get Ukraine the jets it needs
It's past time to pay niceties any heed

Just smuggle them to Zelenskyy now
Before bureaucrats can even say 'How?'

And when all the virtue signalers complain
Tell 'em their tongues are dripping blood again

Uncharted Seas

Uncharted seas
they are sailing in
time and again
along lines of flight
they defy surveillance
and smuggle
their clandestine dreams
braving
propaganda
indoctrination
derision
oppression
and whatnot
They elude despair
and evade the smear
of the myriad accusations
hailing them
each time they dare
to word their needs
and speak their hearts
infantilism
immaturity
ignorance
irrationality
greediness
disloyalty
lovers of anarchy
and whatnot
Those unseen
whose eyes
are riveted on
tolerance
equality
justice
equity
and whatnot
they will never
give themselves up
to that old mantra
once bitten, twice shy

Devraj Khatri

Chairman
What a diligent person you are
You are a sign of greatness
You have an excellent record of corruption
Your blessing is trickling down to us
Should we hand over our future in your hands?
You have destroyed our peace of mind
Recovery is hard
We are facing a dead end situation..
Note. A villain is a person who does what he can to support evil.

Banks

I stare each day at my available balance
And I wish I had more in the pot
I feel as if I’m under constant surveillance
By the hierarchy, who know what I’ve got
They’re waiting to pounce and I know it
They want to smuggle my funds away
They want to increase their pension and profit
And charge me a penalty each and every day
But still they offer me a card or a loan
With rates of interest way above the base
Wanting to cut my finances to the bone
And help me lose my car, my house and my face

We’re here to help, they tell you
A friend who’ll always be by your side
But all they want is your indebted soul
And hunt you until there’s nowhere to hide
So, bankers; hats off to your enterprise
And all the good- you say you do?
But I’ll keep my money under the bed
And make sure I never give a penny to you.

God Alive and Well

I don’t need a feed of pomp or a creed of fanfare to progress
Cos my God rains treasure trains
Teeming with blessings and fertile feelings to address the plight and stress
That threaten in tens to smuggle into my serenity pesky pains

I detest as weakness in my knees lurks in the background
Severing thoughts and initiatives I design
With much passion, dedication and diligence to break new ground
Despite hurdles and obstacles to which never will I consign

My future and culture in any era
I traverse to converse with the obverse of the coin
God granted me long before I stepped into any fora
Where by design God orders I join

Kindred souls to advance humankind’s goals
In the pursuit of the suit of fulfillment
Despite my stumbles, brambles, catcalls, walls and falls
As God paves the way clear to ensure the annulment

Hostile tiles and piles suffer
Solstice and malice face
Goodwill and guidance prefer
Wealth and health race

Into my life where God pours blessings
Whether I deserve them or not
As my dedicated white dove sings
Whether the temperature of fate blows cold, tepid or hot.

Shores of Doom and Gloom In Your Faith

Shores of doom
Needn’t engulf the space in your mind
Where without your will gloom
Can’t inhabit until faithless fleas and spiritual sleaze find

Room and space to waylay and slay without delay
The faith you profess to possess
In a spray without a ray stray
Strung and hung when you dispossess

Your faith of the strength and depth
Which faith has sunk into its roots
In each significant step and faith breath
You smuggle and gaggle in the boots

You wear with pride as you deride the loss
You claim not to suffer in the dwarf
You call disbelief and the abandon toss
Spotted in the wharf

Where faith ought to find succor
By virtue of the pride of place
You claim to allocate to the anchor
Faith can’t in your mind squeeze from a disbelief trace in a lace

Shores of doom and gloom striving to mount
On your faith a determined assault
Within a number of sorties you dismount
As conscience pangs claim it’s no longer our fault.

In Search of Yeats

Oceans wend and eyes lift to the faded summer moon,
like a dried water spot on the morning sky
Here now on the edge of a princely river
Cast a cold Eye

Over hills that shadow Drumcliff and the run of the wild boar
Stone walls smuggle narrow lanes and wandering breath
Devenir un sujet de discorde
On Life, on Death

In the absence of women and men and conventional phrase
Below hazel crosses and where fickle winds cry
We gather unknowing of those before
Horseman pass by

Cast a cold Eye
On Life, on Death
Horseman pass by

William Butler Yeats, as inscribed on his grave site.
