To get Ukraine the jets it needs It's past time to pay niceties any heed Just smuggle them to Zelenskyy now Before bureaucrats can even say 'How?' And when all the virtue signalers complain Tell 'em their tongues are dripping blood again

And when an American jet shoots down a Russian jet over Ukraine...what then? The United States in a full-scale war with Russia???? Do we really want that to happen?

Putin has one goal - Reunite the former Soviet Union as a launching pad for world domination - and now there are no JFKs or Ronnie Reagans to thwart him. Putin's tactics for achieving his goal will change to meet the situation. Your key word was 'appear,' Milt. Putin 'appears' to be backing down. Murderers do that to lull their opponents to sleep. Please do not underestimate Mr. Putin. He is Hitler with brains, a more realistic plan, and allies world-over already in place... You keep bringing up WW3. Well, he's already started it, in case you haven't noticed. Next arena: China demolishes Taiwan and then Japan; while back at the ranch, Putin makes his move on the rest of Europe -- unless, of course, we stop him in Ukraine. ~ gw

Not really, gw. I've given very serious thought to the situation, and I could be convinced...so, it's not "useless to try to persuade" me. I understand both positions completely. The fundamental issue is this: Do we want to engage in World War III with nuclear weapons...or not...with a madman like Putin? I choose to avoid it at all costs...and not precluding sending Ukraine every thing they need to win this fight. The Ukrainians have proven already that they can win this war. It appears that Putin is slowly backing away from his initial plans. We'll have to see. World War III will not make things any better for the Ukrainians or the rest of the world. I think you know that, gw.

It seems useless to try to persuade you of the justice of Ukraine's cause and the evil destruction being rained down upon it by the the world's biggest bully. Let the bully have his way, Milt -- and when he comes knocking on your door, who's gonna stand up for you?! With China, Iran, Syria, N. Korea, Venezuela, Columbia, Cuba in tow, and many others soon to follow including India and Saudi to name two, Mr. Putin needs to be stopped now! Thank you, gw

You know, when you're fighting for your lives, you do what you have to do. Israel had incredible smuggling operations going on in 1948, when nobody (including the good old USA) would give her any weapons. :)
